Plain sailing is also called white palm, it blossoms in spring and summer, the flowers are higher than the leaves, white or light green, the spike inflorescences are milky yellow, very good-looking, many people like to keep it at home, so what are the smooth pruning methods?

1. Pruning blades

During the growth period, diseases and insect pests will inevitably lead to yellow leaf disease, so it is necessary to prune and burn off bacteria in time. Keeping it in a cool environment for a long time will cause branches and leaves to grow. At this time, the branches and leaves should be cut off as soon as possible to avoid nutrient deficiency.

Second, the removal of residual flowers

At the end of the flowering period, some flowers have died but have not yet withered. This kind of residual flower should be pruned in time, but there is no need to cut off the stem of the flower, only the flowering part can be removed.

Third, rhizome pruning

Generally speaking, it is the ones who change the basin and soil that need to trim the rhizome. First clean the rhizome, check whether there are old roots, diseased roots, dead roots, etc., leaving healthy and sturdy roots, the rest can be cut off.

IV. Thinning and cutting of dense leaves

For the luxuriant growth of smooth sailing, but also to carry out dense leaf thinning, too dense leaves will be cut off, leaving enough room for smooth sailing, so that its leaves in a well-ventilated, well-lit growth environment.

5. Erase the growth point

In order to control the smooth growth rate and avoid overgrowth, it is necessary to erase the growth point in its growth stage. This can effectively control its growth, avoid growing too many branches, and save nutrients.
