Is anchovy a marine fish or a freshwater fish?

Anchovies are sea fish. Anchovies are a kind of migratory small fish, which usually inhabit the open sea. Every year, groups enter the river from the sea in late spring and early summer, spawning and swimming at the entrance of fresh water in the middle and lower reaches. It is distributed near the estuaries of major rivers along the coast of China, especially in the Haihe River in Tianjin, the middle and lower Yangtze River and the Pearl River Estuary. The production period is from April to August, and the quality of anchovies before Qingming in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River is the best.

Culture methods of anchovies

1. Temperature control

The water temperature is a very important factor for anchovies. Because the environment of the origin of anchovies is tropical, the water temperature of the selected area must be high. It is most appropriate to control the water temperature between 18 °and 25 °. The lowest air temperature that anchovies can adapt to is about 10 ℃, the normal growth temperature is above 18 ℃, and the highest temperature should not exceed 35 ℃. Too high temperature will lead to frequent fish damage, too low, while too low temperature can also lead to death.

2. Fish pond management

When building a fish tank, it is divided into a seedling pond and an adult fish pond, and an adult fish pond can be divided into 4-6 juvenile fish ponds. Generally speaking, the depth of juvenile fish ponds is about 1.2 meters, the water put in is about 0.8-1 meters, and the depth of adult fish ponds is controlled at 1.5 meters. The fish pond is about the same as other normal fish ponds. Disinfect the fry before putting it, then clean it up, expose it to the sun for a week or so, and then put it in water for about 1 day before you can put the fish into the pond.

3. Feed selection

Anchovies are more omnivorous fish and have more things to feed. If people are going to sell ornamental fish, they will mainly feed feed, and if edible fish are sold, they need to feed some nutritious insects regularly. The common feeding insects are harvest larvae, red nematodes, water fleas and so on. If possible, earthworms can also be chopped into small pieces for feeding, which is a relatively high-quality feed. If you talk about feeding privately, try to give priority to pellet feed.

4. Feeding

Anchovies are small fish, so you don't need to feed too much each time, but you need to eat more, usually about 3-4 times a day and once less in winter. The amount of feeding should be maintained at about 15-20 minutes every 20 square meters, or stop when the bait is rarely eaten by fish. If you feed insects, you can do it once every two days. Feeding insects must go through anti-parasite treatment and disease control treatment to control infected anchovies.
