How do ants reproduce?

Ant reproduction is divided into three processes: mating, spawning and marriage. Generally speaking, when a colony of ants reaches a certain number, the queen will reproduce some male and female breeding ants ahead of time. When the time is ripe, breeding ants fly out of the nest and get to know each other through marriage, and begin to breed a new generation. After the eggs in the body mature, the larvae hatch and give birth.

Second, how to destroy the ant colony?

Ants are sensitive to temperature and are mostly active in hot weather. They like sweet foods, such as cakes, honey, maltose, red ponds, eggs, fruit kernels, meat skins, dead insects and so on. They can tell the road and act in such a hurry that if individual worker ants die, the bodies will be transported back to the nest. But they are not tolerant of hunger, and half of them die after four days and nights without food or water.

1. Eggshell powder is used to kill ants with several eggshells, baked yellow on the stove (cannot be scorched), then crushed into a powder and scattered around the ant colony and in places where it often goes in and out, because the powder has a fragrance, and ants love to eat it. If you eat too much, you will be strung to death. If you put some often, there will be no ants.

2. Washing powder gutter barrier

Because ants will drown as soon as they enter the laundry detergent water, this method can be used to protect certain areas.

3. Flooding

That is, the ant nest is flooded by watering, which is more suitable for ants operating in flowerpots.

4. Chemical control

Dust: inhaled dust such as silicic acid (silica) powder is usually used to make ants die due to lack of water in their bodies.

5. Wet cloth wiping

If one or more rows of ants are found, wipe them off with a wet cloth and drown them in a basin filled with detergent water.

6. Poison bait

Poison bait is a mixture of chemicals and food baits that ants like to eat. According to the ant's feeding behavior, after a worker takes the poison bait, as long as it does not die in a short period of time, it can bring the poison bait into the ant nest, causing other individuals to die, the time of death is generally within seven days, but the ant pupa does not eat, so it is possible to survive, so that the elimination of ants is not complete.

7. Juvenile hormone analogue poison bait

That is, the diet is supplemented with juvenile hormone analogues, such as Yitaibao, methoxy juvenile hormone, etc., and the hormone concentration is generally 0.6% to 1.5% of the weight of the diet. At present, a synergist is being developed to add synergists to juvenile hormone analogues to make this method more perfect.
