1. Eating habits of small ants

Ants are divided into lower species and carnivorous, feeding on insects, small animals and even sick and dead large animals; stinky ant subspecies, leaf-cutting ants and higher species in the ant subfamily can feed on animals and plants, especially honeydew secreted by aphids and scale insects; most other ants are omnivorous and feed on seeds, fruits, insects and so on. For example, double-toothed prickly ants have higher omnivorous species, which can be fed with rice bran, wheat bran, legumes, sugars, melons and fruits and animal feeds such as fish meal, silkworm pupa, bones, eggs, dead and live insects, etc., as well as chicken feed or self-made feed. Ants of the subfamily Formicinae and the marching subfamily generally eat only meat as food.

Second, what natural enemies are ants afraid of

1. Anteater: the anteater's food is ants, termites and other insects, the staple food is ants, and the ant beast eats a lot of ants, weighing 454 grams at a time, but an anteater can only eat ants in an ant nest for about 140 days, and then leave for another nest after eating. By this way, it can ensure the survival of the ants in the nest in its territory, so that it can come back to have a good meal another day.

2. Some aphids eat ants, but some aphids have a symbiotic relationship with ants, and ants protect them instead.

3. Frogs like to eat small insects and are good at finding small moving insects. Ants do not choose picky food when passing frogs.
