Rats are not a popular animal. In order to grind their teeth, mice will often gnaw at doors, wardrobes and so on. In the fields, rats often steal food, dig fields and destroy trees, which do harm to the development of forestry and agriculture. But it is said that mice are the fastest breeding animals in the world, so how do mice reproduce?

How do mice breed

Mice reproduce through viviparity, and mice reproduce most rapidly among mammals. Take a domestic rat that is often active in human living areas as an example. It can conceive as many as eight babies a year, each with four to seven babies.

They have strong reproductive ability, good adaptability and high chance of survival, so their numbers are growing very rapidly. They can mate all the year round, with a gestation period of about 21 days, 6 to 8 births a year, and 5 to 10 at a time. The mouse continued to give birth. At the end of two or three months, a female mouse can increase the number of mice in her family by thousands.

Rats often haunt sewers, toilets, kitchens, debris piles, garbage dumps and other places, move back and forth between bacteria-carrying places and clean places, and transmit pathogenic bacteria through rat feet, body hair and stomach carriers. What is more dangerous is that rats can also spread many kinds of diseases, seriously endangering human health. There are more than 50 kinds of diseases transmitted by mice, such as plague, epidemic hemorrhagic fever, typhus and so on. These diseases are not only highly contagious, but even life-threatening in serious cases.

2. Prevention and control of rats

There are many methods of rodent control, which can be divided into physical rodent control, chemical rodent control, biological rodent control and ecological rodent control.

1. Physical rodent killing method: also known as instrument rodent killing method, which has been used for a long time and in many ways. It includes not only all kinds of special mousetraps, such as rat traps and cages, but also pressing, clamping, closing, clamping, flipping, irrigation, digging, sticking and shooting, etc.

two。 Chemical rodent control method: also known as drug rodent control method, is the most widely used and the best effect of rodent control method. According to the speed of rodenticide entering the mouse, it can be divided into two types: acute and chronic.

3. Biological rodent killing method: mainly using natural enemies to kill rodents, there are many natural enemies of rodents, mainly small carnivorous animals such as weasel, wild cat, domestic cat, fox, birds of prey such as eagle, owl, and snakes.

4. Ecological rodent killing method: that is, by improving the environment, including building for prevention of rats, cutting off rat food, rebuilding farmland, improving indoor and outdoor environmental hygiene, clearing hidden places for rodents, and so on, that is, controlling, transforming and destroying the living environment and conditions conducive to the survival of rodents, so that rats can not survive and reproduce in those places.

The above is some relevant knowledge about the reproduction of mice. Rats should be killed in time after they are found indoors in order to avoid causing losses.
