The females will spit 500 to 1000 eggs at a time. After spawning, the females will be fished out, leaving the males to take care of the eggs. 2 days later, after the larvae are hatched, the males will be fished out.

1. Blue mandarin fish

The body is oval, flattened laterally, the head is medium-large, the eyes are large, located in the center of the head, and there is a long arc from the chest and abdomen to the end of the caudal stalk. The ventral fin chest position has been reduced to the tail of the silk, which acts as a tactile organ.

The length of adult fish is about 10 to 15 centimeters. Its whole body is blue-gray and its abdomen is light yellow. the body emits a beautiful and colorful violet in low light. There are three black spots on the side of its body, the gray of dorsal fin, anal fin and caudal fin, and white pearl spots on each fin.

2. Yellow mandragons

The dorsal fin is short and high, slightly yellowish, and flutters like a small flag when unfolded. The anal fin is very long, extending from the chest back to the base of the caudal fin, yellowish, with bright orange-red broad edges, swimming like a soft skirt fluttering in the wind. Suitable for living in the water temperature of 22-27 ℃, the requirement of water quality is not high. When there is a lack of oxygen in the water, you can breathe directly out of the water.

It is relatively easy to reproduce a pair of mandarin fish, and most of the work is done by males in the process of breeding.
