In recent years, based on the advantages of geography, resources, and science and technology, the Biyang county party committee and county government have formulated four major strategies: "establishing counties with ecological characteristics, rich counties with characteristics, strong industrial counties, and invigorating counties through science and education". The production of edible fungi has been established as a characteristic pillar industry to speed up the development of county economy and increase farmers' income. At the same time, according to the laws and regulations of our country and the importing country, combined with the reality of Biyang, it has successively formulated the technical requirements and operation rules for the quality and safety of edible mushroom products exported from Biyang County, such as "operating rules for cultivation techniques of Lentinus edodes exported to Korea", "Technical operating rules for the production of Edible Mushroom strains in Miyang County", "Technical operating rules for the processing of dried Lentinus edodes for Export in Biyang County" and "production Standards for Biyang Flower Mushroom". And in the county-wide publicity, training, implementation. By the end of 2015, the county had planted more than 200 million bags of edible mushrooms, produced more than 300,000 tons of fresh mushrooms, had an annual output value of 3.4 billion yuan, and earned more than 30 million US dollars in foreign exchange from exports. Miyang County was rated as one of the top ten major production base counties in the national edible fungus industry and a major county in Henan Province.
