1. Domicile

Dutch pigs are afraid of the cold. Once it falls below 20 degrees in winter, it is necessary to keep them warm. If there is heating at home, it will be much more convenient, just put a pet blanket on the resting place for Dutch pigs.

2. Diet

In winter, feed Dutch pigs the same as at other times, feed dry foods such as staples or steamed bread, and then match them with fresh fruits and vegetables, or put some foods with a higher fat content in rat food. If it is found that Dutch pigs drink less water, it is also normal, do not worry.

3. Take a bath

Dutch pigs should take as few baths as possible in winter. if they want to do so, it is best to do it at noon or in the afternoon in the sunny day. Don't let the Dutch pigs blow to the wind during and after bathing. Dry with a towel immediately after washing. Dutch pigs that adapt to hair dryers can be dried with hair dryers, Dutch pigs that are not suitable for hair dryers are wrapped in dry towels and put back in the cage when the hair is almost dry. If you are a sick pig, do not take a bath.

4. Travel

If the Dutch pig wants to go out to play in winter, he must keep warm. The rat cage should be wrapped before going out to prevent the cold wind from attacking and freezing the Dutch pig. You can also put some pet-only warm babies in the cage to prevent Dutch pigs from catching cold.
