There are many kinds of fish, such as wild fish, artificially cultured fish, ornamental fish, etc., each kind of breeding way is different, how does that fish pass the winter?

First, how do fish spend the winter?

In the warm climate areas of the south, the fish living in the wild do not need to carry out related overwintering activities, while in the colder areas in the north, the temperature of the lower water body is higher due to the hot shrinkage and cold expansion of the water body, and the fish will gather here. Only when the weather is fine will it float to the surface.

When artificial farmed fish are overwintering, they should ensure that the unfrozen water layer of the overwintering pond is more than 1-1.5 meters, at the same time, the bottom of the pond should be flat, and the thickness of silt should be about 10 cm, because the silt contains a lot of humus, although it can provide fertilizer, protect fertilizer and regulate water quality, in addition, it is necessary to disinfect the fish before overwintering so as not to cause diseases. Among them, stop water overwintering is to put farmed fish in small still water bodies such as ponds with suitable conditions for overwintering, which is generally used in areas where there is a lack of running water conditions. Water overwintering is the use of water with suitable temperature and rich dissolved oxygen to continuously inject and discharge the overwintering water of fish, so as to make the fish survive the winter safely. The cage overwintering chooses the reservoir or lake with sufficient dissolved oxygen and suitable water temperature to place the cage, so that the fish can survive the winter in the underwater cage. Indoor overwintering in the fish pond to build a plastic film greenhouse or glass greenhouse to keep warm and use the sun to heat up, so that the fish can survive the winter safely.

When indoor farmed tropical ornamental fish are overwintering, they should first change the feeding time, generally around 10: 00 in the morning, when the difference between water temperature and air temperature is relatively small, and the impact on ornamental fish is relatively small. Secondly, attention should be paid to the change of water temperature. Heating rods should be used in time when the water temperature is too low, so as to create a good living environment for ornamental fish.

Second, what are the matters needing attention for fish overwintering?

1. Ice-breaking oxygenation

After the surface of the water is frozen, it is necessary to break the ice every morning and evening, usually 8-9 square meters of ice per mu, and at the same time, remove the smashed ice so as not to freeze quickly again.

2. Sweep away the snow

During the freezing period in winter, if there is snow, the snow on the ice surface of the fish pond should be swept away in time to make the sun shine on the fish pond water to ensure the normal photosynthesis of green plants in the water.

3. Add and change fresh water

During the overwintering period, in addition to maintaining the highest water level to increase oxygen and heat preservation, new water should be injected regularly to improve the living environment of fish and increase dissolved oxygen, generally once every 15 days. If the water quality of the pond becomes worse and there is an aging phenomenon, the old water and harmful substances in the pond should be discharged in time, the amount of water exchanged each time is 1 / 4 of the original pool water, and then new water should be injected into the pond in time.

4. Appropriate fertilization

When the water quality of the fish pond is thin, a certain amount of inorganic fertilizer can be applied at noon on a sunny day, which can not only promote the growth and warmth of phytoplankton in the water, but also increase the dissolved oxygen in the water through photosynthesis. the fertilizer should contain nitrogen and phosphorus.
