When the big baby first found it, it looked like this. The branches were bare, there were no leaves, and there were no roots. It looked like firewood for cooking. In fact, it was called Shuijie ash downhill pile! Cultivate it into bonsai, green leaves, priceless, no wonder it is known as the "king of bonsai"!
1. Pruning stumps
Take a closer look at the stump. If there is any rot in the roots and branches, cut it off and cut it around the root with a knife to cut a circle about 1 cm wide, exposing fresh roots, which is more conducive to sending out new roots.
2. Soak the root in carbendazim solution
Soak the root of the stump in carbendazim solution, the wound on the branch can be smeared with carbendazim sterilization, take out half an hour later, put it in a cool and ventilated place to dry.
3. Smear river sand to the cut of the branch
Smear the river sand evenly on the cut above the branch and cover the cut.
4. Seal the branch section with a plastic bag
Wrap the thicker plastic bag on the cut, and then tie the plastic bag with a rope, which can moisturize, promote the sprouting and improve the survival rate.
5. Prepare rooting powder and alcohol
Buy some rooting powder, and then get the alcohol and small dishes ready.
6. Pour the rooting powder into the plate
Tear open the rooting powder package and pour it into the plate.
7. Pour alcohol into rooting powder
Rooting powder dissolves better in alcohol, or with clean water if there is no alcohol.
8. Stir alcohol and rooting powder well
Stir the rooting powder and alcohol well with a stick.
9. Pour the rooting powder solution into the water basin
Find a large basin, the size to be able to hold the stump, pour water into the basin, pour into the basin 1 bank 3 on the line, then pour the rooting powder solution into the basin, stir, let it dissolve evenly in the water.
10. Put the root into the basin
Put the root of the stump upright into the water. If the stump is fresh, soak for 2-4 hours. If it is not too fresh, it can be extended to about 12 hours to allow the stump to absorb enough water.
11. Basin bottom cushion screen
Find a larger flowerpot and put a screen on the drainage hole at the bottom of the pot to prevent soil leakage.
12. Layered preparation of soil
As shown in the following picture, the bottom of the basin is filled with a mixture of river sand and plain soil, accounting for half the volume of the flowerpot. The ratio of river sand to plain soil is 3:2, and then covered with pure river sand.
13. Plant the stump into the basin
After the stump is soaked in rooting water, it is taken out and planted shallowly in a pot.
14. Make a circle of pure river sand at the root
Find a cardboard shell, insert it into the river sand around the root, tie it with a rope, and then pour pure river sand into the paper shell, as shown in the following picture. Pour the used rooting water into the flowerpot and pour it thoroughly.
15. Put on a plastic bag
Put a plastic bag on the stump and remember to poke 3 holes for ventilation, which can increase humidity and temperature, promote root and bud germination, put it in a cool and ventilated place, keep the soil slightly wet, and new buds can grow in about half a month! Then put it in a sunny place!
