1. Perennial ryegrass
Perennial ryegrass is annual or annual, likes warm and humid climate, does not tolerate cold and dry heat, planted more in East China, Central China and Yangtze River, Huaihe River basin, now warmer and rainy areas in the north such as Northeast China and Inner Mongolia are also introduced spring sowing. Perennial ryegrass can be sown either in spring or autumn. Spring sowing is generally carried out from early March to mid-April. Autumn sowing is from late August to late October, and sowing in the south can also be delayed to mid-November, and rice interplanting can be adopted. Perennial ryegrass can be mowed 5~8 times a year in warm northern regions, yielding 75~120 tons of fresh grass per hectare; in subtropical southern regions, winter fallow land can be replanted, mowing about 10 times, yielding 60~90 tons of fresh grass per hectare.
2. alfalfa
Alfalfa is drought-tolerant, barren, water-loving and has wide adaptability. Most areas north of Yangtze River in China can be planted. Sowing can be done throughout the year, but autumn sowing is more common. Spring sowing can be carried out in areas with good spring moisture content and less sand damage, from early March to early and middle May; sowing can be carried out at the end of rainy season in areas with drought in spring and late frost; sowing can be carried out in areas with less cold winter from late August to early and middle October; sowing can also be carried out before soil freezing in early winter, and seedling emergence can be carried out by using moisture from soil thawing in early spring. The yield of fresh grass is 90~130 tons per hectare, and the yield is the highest from the third to the fourth year.
3, bitter vegetables
Ixeris is an annual or biennial herb, widely planted in Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Hebei, Shandong, Shanxi, Jilin, Heilongjiang and other places in China. Generally, the earlier the sowing, the better, within the range allowed by the growing period. Spring, summer and autumn can usually be sown. But early spring is the best time to sow. In the south, the highest yield is usually sown from mid-February to mid-March. The north can be sown in the first and middle of April. South China can also be autumn sown. The yield of grass per hectare is 75 - 105 tons.
4. Chicory
Chicory is a perennial herb with strong adaptability, which can be planted in all parts of China (except for places above 2000 meters above sea level and too northerly and cold). Like warm and humid climate, heat resistance, cold resistance, strong regeneration, more resistant to salt and alkali, like fertilizer and water. One planting can be used for many years, and the annual utilization period is up to 8 months.
Spring sowing is from mid-March to mid-May in the north and from late February to mid-April in the south; autumn sowing is from late August to late September in the north and from early September to late October in the south. The yield of chicory is low in the first year of sowing, but it can double after the second year.
5. White clover
White clover is a perennial herb, which likes warm and humid climate, can withstand low temperature of-15 to 20 ℃, and can safely overwinter when snow covers in Northeast China and Xinjiang. Heat resistance is also very strong, about 35℃ high temperature will not wilt. Spring sowing can also be autumn sowing, autumn sowing in the south is appropriate, but not later than October, spring sowing in March to April in the north.
White clover should be mowed at the early flowering stage. It can produce more than 15 tons of fresh grass per hectare in the spring sowing year, and 3~4 times a year after the second year. The fresh grass yield per hectare is 37.5~60 tons, and the high yield can reach more than 75 tons.
