Jianlan lotus petal is produced in Emei Mountain and is selected by Zhang Zexiang. Features: there are 3-5 leaves per plant, 32-47cm in length and 1.4-1.7cm in width; green in color; loose plant type; leaf semi-vertical or semi-drooping; midvein thick, lateral vein almost as thick as midvein, leaf surface spreading, smooth and shiny; leaf margin serrated inconspicuously, leaf tip mucronate. Scape erect, 20-24cm high, green; 4-6 flowering flowers; inflorescence base sheath emerald green, central purplish red rib, flower bracts long and broad, middle sepals covered on petals, front buckle inward, bilateral sepals extending forward and slightly falling shoulder, sepals narrowed at base, broadened above middle, tips slightly narrowed and raised from pocket, sepals light yellowish green, base slightly reddish sand halo Petals (holding heart, holding petals) close to each other but not jointed, encircling core column (nose), base narrowing, front end broadening, tip edge tight, inside rolled up small pocket; labellum (tongue) trifid, middle lobe round and broad, hanging but not rewind, scattered irregular purplish red spots, bilateral lobes are not obvious, lip edge is light yellow.

Jianlan, a native species in Sichuan, has medium-short leaves, thick leaves, oblique type, lotus petals, three-petal roots, clam shells, thick petals, waxy and moist petals, cultivated and named by Mr. Feng Huaiqing, a senior orchid family in Sichuan.
