II. Matters needing attention in breeding turtles

The main results are as follows: (1) Young turtles, adult turtles and parent turtles should be raised in separate ponds to avoid the phenomenon of big turtles devouring small turtles, and it is also convenient to determine the amount of feed and feeding management, so as to observe and grasp the growth of turtles.

(2) because the turtle is gentle and timid, it is necessary to keep quiet around the breeding pond so as not to affect the turtle's normal activities such as feeding, basking in the sun, mating and spawning.

(3) often change the water in the breeding pond, keep the water clean, and do a good job in the hygiene of the breeding pond, so as to prevent the disease of turtles.

(4) the sandy soil on the open space around the pool and between the wall should maintain a certain humidity, and some cooling measures should be taken in the midsummer season, such as sprinkling water, planting some small shrubs and so on.

(5) before hibernation, check the growth of turtles, add more feed to the weak, and give more feed to turtles that they like to eat, so that turtles can accumulate a lot of nutrients, grow strong and survive the winter safely.

(6) some turtles don't know how to eat when they are young. At this time, you can grab its left paw, pull outward, then grab its right paw, pull them slightly together, and it will stick out its head and gently clip its head in the left and right directions. when it opens its mouth, stuffing the shrimp (food) in, it will know what to eat, and then the food you put in will take two bites.

The tortoise is a warm animal, and its life is greatly affected by the ambient temperature. about 10 days before hibernation, the tortoise is not allowed to eat and let it get rid of its feces, and so when it is completely hibernating, just cover it with a wet towel and put it in a place where there is no noise.
