What is the difference between sunfish and tilapia?

Different species: tilapia native to Africa, belonging to tropical fish tilapia; sunfish native to south-central America, belonging to the sunfish family freshwater fish; different body colors: sunfish have more colors, with light orange red or light orange yellow on the head, chest and abdomen, and light bluish gray on the back, with some grayish black vertical lines between them; while tilapia has only gray and brown.

Tilapia, which lives in the middle and lower layers, is an omnivorous fish dominated by plant bait. Tilapia is intolerant of low temperature and will freeze to death at a water temperature of about 10 ℃. Some species of tilapia have the behavior of oral hatching, that is, females hold fertilized eggs in their mouths until they hatch into young fish, which is very beneficial to their reproduction. Before some species of tilapia breed, the male will dig the subsoil to build a basin-shaped nest, which has a strong territorial nature. the female lays her eggs in the nest and the young are protected by the female after hatching.

Sunfish is a warm water small fish with a wide range of suitable temperature for growth. It can live at a water temperature of 1-38 ℃, and the water temperature of 2 ℃ can still survive the winter safely in the natural environment. Therefore, it can survive the winter naturally in the south of our country. It has wide adaptability, miscellaneous food habits, high population yield and can reproduce naturally.

Although sunfish and tilapia are somewhat similar in size, there is still a big difference between their body colors.
