The weather in early spring is cold and humid, and like novel coronavirus recently, geese have many pathogenic factors. The Gosling which has just come out of its shell has a delicate constitution, few fluff and small body, and its ability to adapt and resist the external environment is not strong. Therefore, what aspects should be paid attention to in the feeding and management of goslings in spring? These five aspects are very important!

1. Selection of seedlings for feeding and management of goslings in spring

The healthy goslings showed long, shiny, clean villi, good yolk absorption, complete contraction of umbilical cord, no navel nail, no edema around the navel, lively manner, flexible and active eyes, sensitive response and loud call. When holding the neck with your hands and lifting the Gosling, the feet can contract quickly and struggle forcefully. The Gosling will be turned upside down and will soon stand up. Weak chicks, such as big belly, blood navel, big belly button, lame, blind, tilted head, deformed chicks, sick chicks can not be selected.

2. Heat preservation of feeding and management of goslings in spring

Goslings are very sensitive to temperature changes and have poor cold resistance. Heat preservation conditions directly affect the survival rate of goslings, so the temperature should be strictly controlled in winter and spring. The breeding methods of goslings can be divided into two ways: online brooding and ground mat grass brooding. The brooding temperature is kept at 28 ℃ ~ 32 ℃ in the first week, and then slowly dropped by about 2 ℃ per week. When the temperature drops to about 18 ℃, it can be gradually removed from temperature to normal temperature. When using thermal blankets, umbrellas and hot kangs to raise chicks on the ground, the temperature should be adjusted evenly to reach the temperature required by goslings. In caged multi-layer brooding, attention should be paid to the balanced temperature of the upper, middle and lower layers, sufficient light and not too high density.

Third, the humidity of feeding and management of goslings in spring

Humidity and temperature also have a great impact on the health of goslings, and the two work together. Low temperature and high humidity make the body heat spread quickly, which is easy to cause colds, diarrhea, pile-up, resulting in the death of stiff geese, residual geese and goslings; high temperature makes the body heat can not go out, loss of appetite. At the same time, high temperature and high humidity are easy to cause a large number of bacteria, resulting in an increase in the incidence of goslings. High humidity is a big taboo for brooding, so do not overflow when indoor water feeding, often clean, frequently change the cushion to keep dry, so that the relative humidity of the brooding room is kept between 60% and 70%. At this time, the Gosling body heat emission and water evaporation reach a balance, the Gosling is comfortable, its rest, appetite, activity is good, the development can be normal. After getting rid of temperature, the goslings should graze in time for outdoor activities, breathe fresh air and bask in the sun.

4. Disinfection of feeding and management of goslings in spring

Before entering the baby, the nursery should be thoroughly disinfected, usually fumigating and disinfecting with 15 ml of formalin solution and 75 grams of potassium permanganate for 24 hours per cubic meter of space; the ground should be sprayed with parathion (or other disinfectants); the stocking site should be sprayed with 20% lime milk or 3% caustic soda water; the equipment should be exposed after cleaning or sprinkled with chemical disinfectant; the walls of the breeding rooms that have raised birds can be disinfected with 20% lime milk.

5. Disease prevention in the feeding and management of goslings in spring

1. Vaccination

After hatching, the goose chicks gradually lost their maternal antibody. at the age of one day, the high immune serum against Gosling plague should be injected in time, each goose was subcutaneously injected with 0.5ml/, and the goose paramyxovirus vaccine 0.5ml/ was injected at 10-15 days old.

2. White dysentery

Oxytetracycline can be used at the initial stage of the disease, adding 150 grams for every 50 kg of feed for three consecutive days. Or add intestinal power to drink water.

3. Dyspepsia

Feed the large brand feed for goslings with comprehensive nutrition and easy digestion, and feed less frequently.

4. Catch a cold

Keep the temperature stable and prevent the wind from falling into the house. Mix the material with chlortetracycline in the proportion of 0.3% for 5 days, which can effectively prevent the occurrence of colds.

Therefore, in the early spring season, if raised improperly, goslings are easy to get sick. For this reason, feeding and management must be strengthened to improve the survival rate of goslings.
