The reporter learned from the government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous region that in 2015, Manzhouli Port, the largest land port between China and Russia, exported a total of 390800 tons of fruits and vegetables, with a value of 205 million US dollars.

According to reports, in 2015, fruit exports at Manzhouli Port totaled 159700 tons, with a value of US $102 million, up 14.51% and 30.02% respectively over the same period last year; vegetable exports totaled 231100 tons, with a value of US $103 million, down 12.11% and 0.04% respectively over the same period last year. This is the first time in the past three years that the export of fruits and vegetables from Manzhouli Port to Russia has shown a trend of "increasing fruits and vegetables".

According to analysis, in 2015, due to the good harvest in the main fruit producing areas in China, the purchase prices of various fruits decreased significantly, the export cost advantage increased significantly, and the exports of citrus, nectarine, grapefruit, persimmon and lemon increased rapidly. At the same time, under the background of the vigorous development of local agriculture in Russia, the external dependence of the Russian vegetable market has been greatly reduced, and the import of vegetables such as potatoes and onions has decreased, which directly affects the export of some bulk vegetables at Manzhouli Port.

In view of the characteristics of difficult preservation of fresh fruits and vegetables and short period of validity of inspection and quarantine, Manzhouli Inspection and Quarantine Department implements the "three excellent" inspection and quarantine mode of priority inspection, priority certificate preparation and priority release. for enterprises to reduce customs clearance costs while ensuring the rapid delivery of fresh fruits and vegetables to Russia.

The reporter also learned from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous region entry-exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau that with the approval of the State General Administration of quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, Inner Mongolia Alshan Port has become a new designated port for entry grain. It is the third designated port for entry grain in Inner Mongolia after Erlianhot and Manzhouli ports.

Alshan Port is located in Xingan, Inner Mongolia, corresponding to Songbuir Port in Mongolia. According to the staff of the Inner Mongolia entry-exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, after the operation of the designated entry grain port, grain can be imported directly from Mongolia through the Alshan port, which will greatly reduce transportation, warehousing, loss and other costs, and save costs for enterprises.
