Xindu of Sichuan held a symposium on the development of fresh corn industry

In order to promote the steady development of fresh corn industry in Xindu, on January 12, the Rural Development Bureau of Xindu District, in Shizhuang Village, Shibantan Town, convened the persons in charge of Wangmin Cooperative, Fengmin Cooperative, Wanxun Cooperative, planting Department of Xindu District Agricultural Development Bureau, Shibantan Town Government Agricultural Office, Shibantan Agricultural Comprehensive Service Station, and held a special forum. And invited the Chengdu seed Management Station, Chengdu seed Industry Association vegetable Branch, Chengdu fresh corn seed supply enterprises responsible persons to the meeting to guide.

At the forum, we exchanged views on the germplasm resources, breeding and market situation of fresh corn. The Wangmin and Fengmin cooperatives introduced the local planting situation, product fresh-keeping and primary processing progress. The Chief of the planting Industry Section of the Agricultural Development Bureau introduced the industrial support policy in detail. Li, president of the vegetable Branch of Chengdu seed Association, proposed that a long-term mechanism for variety display and demonstration should be established.

He, the stationmaster of Chengdu seed Management Station, suggested:

First, to create an industrial brand and strive to make Xindu fresh corn industry a famous brand industry like "Xindu pomelo".

Second, the solicitation of varieties should be professional: safe (approved, no genetically modified), stable (suitable for planting in this region after trial), good merchandise (loved by the public, good market sales).

The third is to maintain the market environment in accordance with the law, especially the right to varieties and the order of the commodity corn market.

The fourth is to strengthen the research on deep processing of fresh corn and introduce large-scale processing enterprises.
