Many people think that rabbit prices are cheap now, the number of rabbits will definitely decline, when the rabbit prices will definitely rise, so now into rabbit breeding will be able to make money. This analysis is good, but there is one point that cannot be ignored, that is, how much determination does the rabbit farmer have to persist in now, and when can he persist? If rabbit farmers are now reduced in scale, then the number of commercial rabbits in autumn will definitely drop sharply, but rabbit farmers can stick to it a little. According to the reproduction rate of rabbits, the number of commercial rabbits entering autumn and winter season will decline but not too obvious.

Cost and profit analysis of rabbit breeding (for information only)

Two groups of meat rabbits were analyzed, one male and five females in each group:

1. Buying seed costs. Buy 2.5 kilograms of rabbits each 100 yuan, 12 only 1200 yuan. The average utilization period of breeding rabbits is 2.5 years, and the average annual amortization is 480 yuan.

2. Feed costs. Each breeding rabbit consumes an average of 125 grams of mixed feed per day (other nutrients are supplemented by grass and crop straw), and only consumes 45.6 kg of feed per year, with 12 rabbits consuming 547 kg in total. The feed cost per kilogram is calculated as 0.9 yuan, and the feed cost is 492.3 yuan. The rabbit consumes about 5 kg of feed from weaning at 1 month to 90 days old for 60 days. Each female rabbit provides an average of 35 commercial rabbits per year, and 10 female rabbits provide 350 commercial rabbits per year. The total feed consumption is 1750 kg, and the feed cost is 1575 yuan.

3. Epidemic prevention fee. The annual epidemic prevention fee for breeding rabbits is 2 yuan per rabbit, and 0.5 yuan for commercial rabbits, totaling 199 yuan.

4. Cage fees. Cages can be constructed using old bricks, stones, adobe, cement and lime, etc., or welded into frames with iron bars and woven with iron wires. Each cage investment is calculated by 30 yuan, 12 breeding rabbit cages plus 20 fattening cages require 960 yuan. The cage service life is calculated according to 8 years, and the annual depreciation cost is 120 yuan.

5. Total input. 480 yuan +492.3 yuan +1575 yuan +199 yuan +120 yuan =2866.3 yuan.

If a female rabbit produces 6-8 fetuses per year, 7-12 fetuses per year, and 8 fetuses per year, the current price of a rabbit on the market is about 25 yuan, excluding rabbit hair and other products. Therefore, the net profit is: 25×16×12=4800-2866.3=2111.7 yuan.
