Is there any Cordyceps sinensis planted artificially now? Is it difficult to grow Cordyceps sinensis artificially? Wild Cordyceps sinensis is really rare, and now people are studying how to plant Cordyceps sinensis artificially. In recent years, the research work on artificial cultivation of Cordyceps sinensis at home and abroad has been carried out extensively and deeply, but under the condition of complete artificial control, Cordyceps sinensis is infected with host larvae so that it can produce the same fruiting body as natural Cordyceps sinensis. There is still no breakthrough, let's take a look!

Can Cordyceps sinensis be planted artificially?

Since Cordyceps sinensis has so much medicinal value and there is so little in nature, can it be developed artificially? The answer is yes. at present, there are three main methods or channels in the industry:

1. Artificial cultivation of "Cordyceps sinensis": in theory, the phenomenon of fungus infecting larvae is actually very easy to achieve in the laboratory: as long as the living environment of Cordyceps sinensis bat moth is simulated, and then specific strains are inoculated directly into the larvae. However, this is limited to small-scale experiments. If large-scale production, there will be a lot of technical problems. A brief introduction will be given later.

2. Cordyceps mycelium culture. Is to directly isolate the strain of Cordyceps, artificial culture, obtain the product, and then artificial development, also known as "artificial Cordyceps sinensis" in the market.

3. Looking for substitutes with the same medicinal functions as Cordyceps militaris, also known as Cordyceps militaris, is also a precious medicinal fungus. The price of Cordyceps militaris fruiting body produced with rice and silkworm pupa as main raw materials is about 600ml / kg, while the lowest price of Cordyceps militaris with silkworm pupa and seed base is about 1000ml / kg, which is much lower than that of Cordyceps militaris.

Main techniques of artificial cultivation of Cordyceps sinensis

1. Bacteria: most of the strains are Cordyceps sinensis from nature, which are obtained by routine isolation and culture. According to the research, in the process of the occurrence of the sexual form of Cordyceps sinensis, a certain humidity is needed to meet the water requirements of the complex physiological changes in the body, and there is a correlation between temperature and humidity. Under a certain humidity, the temperature change is slow or relatively constant. It is not conducive to the extraction of fruit bodies. The occurrence of sexual type must go through low temperature and variable temperature treatment. Sanming Fungi Research Institute of Fujian Province has been through tube culture for many years. Only immature young constellations grow. They believe that the generation of Cordyceps can only be completed with the participation of some active substances of bat moth larvae.

2. Bat moth breeding technology: Sichuan Institute of traditional Chinese Medicine has conducted a long-term study on bat moth artificial rearing. Even under constant temperature conditions, it takes 230-570 days to complete a generation. What's more, it is necessary to deal with the specific operation of each insect state as well as the feed and feeding environment. Such harsh conditions are impossible for ordinary people.

3. Infection route: Cordyceps sinensis can grow fruiting body only when the spores of Cordyceps sinensis contact with larvae. It is observed that the infection rate of host 4-5 instar larvae is the highest. The mature larvae are rarely infected, and the larvae below the 3rd instar are not infected. How to seize the opportunity is also very difficult for ordinary people to grasp. On the problem of infection, if the condition of artificial cultivation of insects is better, the insect body is too strong and antibacterial, so it is difficult to infection. If the condition is poor, it will cause death after the insect invades, and both cases will fail.

4. Imitating the ecological environment of the producing area, that is, the conditions of temperature, humidity, light, soil and vegetation on a mountain with an altitude of 3500-5000 meters, which is also difficult for ordinary people to achieve. It is precisely for these reasons that most people can never grow Cordyceps sinensis. It is all a lie to talk about how much output can be collected in a very short period of time. Even so, why are there reports of successful cultivation in some newspapers and magazines? In fact, they are only talking about the mycelium culture of Cordyceps sinensis or the same genus culture of Cordyceps sinensis, not the real Cordyceps sinensis. Recently, Japanese Forest Research Institute scientist Dashu Sateng and others announced that it only takes a month and a half to cultivate Cordyceps militaris. In fact, what he has cultivated is only a kind of Cordyceps militaris, not the real Cordyceps sinensis.

These are the main contents of some key points of artificial cultivation of Cordyceps sinensis. Cordyceps sinensis is a traditional and precious medicinal material in China, which is distributed in Xizang, Qinghai, Sichuan, Gansu, Yunnan and other places. It has special pharmacological and therapeutic effects. If artificial cultivation can be developed, it will be a major development!
