It has the best quality and is an authentic medicinal material. It is mainly produced in Yuyao, Hangzhou, Cixi, Xiaoshan and other places in Zhejiang Province.

2. Sichuan dwarf lilyturf tuber: Sichuan dwarf lilyturf tuber is also known as Sichuan winter, mainly produced in Mianyang area of Sichuan Province. It is also known as Fucheng dwarf lilyturf tuber produced in Fujiang alluvial plain. It is sold all over the country and exported.

Growth Habits of Ophiophora japonica

Radix opprefers warm, humid and shady environment, cold tolerance, avoid strong light and high temperature. When it blooms in July, underground root tuber begins to form, September to October is the peak period of root formation, November is the period of root tuber expansion, and after the temperature rises at the end of February, root tuber expansion accelerates.

The seeds of Ophiophora japonica L. have certain dormancy characteristics. They can break dormancy and germinate normally at low temperature of about 5℃ for 2~3 months. The seed life is 1 year.

3. Zhejiang Op: Zhejiang Opis also known as Op, Cundong, etc. Because its origin belongs to Yuyao, it is also known as Yao Op. It is one of the "Zhejiang Eight Flavors" of Zhejiang traditional Chinese medicine specialty. It is short and plump, yellow and bright in color, and its quality is better than that produced in Sichuan and Fujian.
