Aster, also known as Qingyuan, Ziqian, Xiaobian, etc., is a perennial herb belonging to Aster of Compositae. It usually grows in wet riverside areas. It is waterlogging resistant, afraid of drought and strong cold resistance. It has the effect of treating cold cough and asthma, cough and puke pus blood due to fatigue. It has certain planting value. Let's take a look at the planting technology of Aster together.

Land selection and preparation

Select flat terrain, deep soil layer, loose fertile land with good drainage as planting land, deeply turn soil more than 30cm before planting, combine ploughing, apply decomposed manure 3000kg and calcium superphosphate 50kg per mu, turn soil into ground as base fertilizer, then shallow till 20cm before sowing, make high ridge with width of 1.3m after leveling and thinning, and make drainage ditch 40cm wide.

planting and seedling protection

After the soil thaws 10 cm in spring, thick, purple-red, dense and short rhizomes with dormant buds are selected for seed planting, and the middle section is taken and cut into small sections of 5~7 cm, each section has 2~3 dormant buds, which are planted as they are cut. When planting, cross furrows shall be opened on the whole ridge surface according to the row spacing of 25~30 cm, the depth of furrows shall be 5~7 cm, the seed roots and buds shall be upward, 1~2 sections shall be placed along the furrows according to the specification of plant spacing of 15~17 cm, the soil shall be flush with the ridge surface, and after planting, it shall be compacted slightly, watered once, and then covered with a layer of grass for heat preservation and moisture preservation. Remove the cover grass after the seedlings are neat, preserve the moisture and protect the seedlings.

field management

After the aster seedlings are fully planted, shallow loosening and weeding are carried out, and 1000 - 1500 kg of decomposed human and livestock manure water is applied per mu in combination with loosening; when the seedling height is 7 - 9 cm, 1500 kg of decomposed human and livestock manure water is applied per mu in combination with intertillage; 300 kg of decomposed compost and 50 kg of decomposed cake fertilizer are applied per mu in combination with intertillage and weeding before sealing; grooves are opened beside the plants, and soil is covered. If there are weeds after sealing, pull them out by hand. Ditch drainage after rain or irrigation, irrigation in case of drought. Cut off bolting in time.

bingchong prevention

1. Root rot

[Harm] Harm plant stem base and reed head part. At the beginning of the disease, the roots and rhizomes turned brown and rotted, brown fusiform spots appeared at the base of petioles, and gradually the leaves died and the rhizomes rotted.

[Control] At the beginning of the disease, spray 50% carbendazim WP 1000 times or 50% thiophanate-methyl WP 1000 times.

2. Black spot disease

[Hazard] At the beginning of the disease, purple-black spots appear on the leaves, and then expand into nearly round dark brown spots.

[Control] At the initial stage of disease, spray 65% manineb wettable powder 500 times solution or 50% thiophanate-methyl wettable powder 1000 times solution once every 7 days for 3 times.

3. Spodoptera argentea

[Harm] Larvae bite leaves, creating cavities or notches.

[Control] Spray 90% trichlorfon crystal 1000 times solution to kill.
