Verbena, also known as Chenopodium, Dragon Bud Grass, Phoenix neck Grass, etc., is a perennial erect herb of Verbenaceae, most of which grow in the wild, and are distributed in most parts of East China, South China and Southwest China. The whole herb for medicinal use has the effects of cooling blood and dispersing blood stasis, clearing menstruation, detoxifying and relieving itching, expelling insects and reducing swelling. Let's take a look at the seed price and planting method of verbena.

How much is verbena seed per jin?

The price of verbena seeds is about 120-180 yuan per jin, but it varies greatly due to the quality, variety, producing area and market of the seeds. Verbena is commonly used for seed reproduction, like dry, sunny environment, loose requirements on the soil, like fertilizer, like moisture, afraid of waterlogging, not resistant to drought, the general soil can grow, but the soil layer is deep, fertile loam and sandy loam is strong, low-lying and waterlogged land is not suitable for planting.

Propagation methods of Verbena

1. Land selection and soil preparation: verbena seedlings choose loam or sandy loam soil with thicker soil layer as planting land, ploughing depth is 18-25 cm, apply fully mature barnyard manure 2000-2500 kg per mu as base fertilizer to spread evenly, make a border with a width of 50 cm and a height of 15 cm, rake flat the border surface, and leave an operating path between the two borders of 25cm-30cm, which can also be made into farmland ridges.

2. Sowing method: the sowing time of verbena is from late April to early May. First of all, rake the border soil fine, 5 cm from the border to open a ditch along the border, the row spacing of 25 cm 30 cm, ditch depth 15 cm 2 cm, step flat grid, and then apply a small amount of biological fertilizer as base fertilizer, the amount of 15 kg per mu. Cover the soil with a little fertilizer, spread the seeds evenly, cover the soil with a thickness of 1 to 1.5 cm, slightly suppress, and use 0.5 kg of seeds per mu.

Planting methods of Verbena

1. Transplanting seedlings: Verbena emerges after sowing for 10 to 20 days, and the plant height is 5 centimeters. There is no need to leave a single row, but the distance between plants on each row should be kept at about 10 centimeters, and the seedlings can be replanted.

2. Timely weeding: verbena weeding is a regular work of field management, and preventing grass famine is one of the effective measures to increase yield, so it is necessary to weed immediately and there are no weeds in the field.

3. Drainage and watering: verbena likes to be moist, afraid of waterlogging and not resistant to drought. When the soil is too dry, it should be watered in time to ensure the normal growth of plants, and attention should be paid to field drainage in rainy seasons.

4. Loosen the soil in time: the verbena planting should loosen the soil in time to prevent the topsoil from hardening and affect the plant growth. loosening not only increases the permeability of the soil, but also reduces the occurrence of diseases.

5, pest control: verbena root rot occurs when there is a lot of water in the field for a long time, as long as timely drainage and loosening the soil can be avoided, drug control with 50% carbendazim 500 times 600 times liquid root irrigation.

6. field management: excellent seeds of verbena are the basic conditions for high yield, so seed fields should be set up separately, with plant spacing of 15 cm and row spacing of 20 cm. Field management should be strengthened and proper application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer should be applied before flowering.

7. Seed harvest: 75-80% of verbena seeds will be harvested when mature, put in a well-ventilated shade for 4-6 days and then threshed, remove impurities and shrunken grains, dry for 3-4 days and put into a clean cloth bag in a ventilated warehouse.
