Sage, also known as sage, black grass, autumn salvia miltiorrhiza, etc., is an annual herb of Labiatae. It is distributed in Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Hubei, Fujian and other places in China. It is born on hillsides, roadsides, shady grass, watersides and trees. It is often cultivated as kitchen vanilla or medical herbs. Let's take a look at the seed price and planting method of sage.

How much is sage seed per jin?

The price of sage seed is about 120-150 yuan per jin, but it varies greatly due to the quality, variety, producing area and market of the seed. Sage prefers warm, sunny and well-ventilated environment, suitable temperature for growth is 15-22 ℃, drought-tolerant, but not waterlogging-resistant, soil rich in calcareous, suitable for planting in neutral or slightly alkaline soil with good drainage and loose soil. Seed propagation or cutting propagation are often used in production.

Sowing method of sage

The main results are as follows: 1. Seed germination: in order to improve the seedling emergence rate and emerge early before sowing, the seeds can be soaked in 50 ℃ warm water, rinse with clean water several times when the temperature drops to 30 ℃, and then put in 25: 30 ℃ constant temperature to promote germination.

2. Seed sowing: sage can be sowed in spring and early autumn, direct seeding or seedling transplanting, but the seeds are small, so it is appropriate to sow shallowly, cover thin soil after sowing, and sprinkle water frequently to keep the soil moist.

Planting method of sage

1. Transplanting the upper pot: when the true leaves of sage reach 2 to 3 pieces, they begin to transplant on the pot, generally choose a nutrition bowl of 12 cm to 13 cm for transplanting, and choose loose and ventilated garden soil with organic fertilizer and compound fertilizer as the substrate.

2. Temperature management: the temperature of sage dropped to 18 ℃ after potting, and decreased to 15 ℃ after a month. If the temperature is below 15 ℃, the leaves will turn yellow or fall off. When the temperature is above 30 ℃, the flowers and leaves will be small and the plants will stop growing.

3. Fertilization management: the effect of changing leaf color was better by applying ammonium sulfate diluted 1500 times during the growing period of sage. In order to make the plant root system strong and branches luxuriant, compound fertilizer 100ppm containing calcium and magnesium could be applied once a month, and phosphorus and potassium fertilizer should be applied once before flowering.

4. Light management: sage prefers sunny environment, needs proper shading in hot summer, strengthens light at seedling stage to prevent overgrowth, and leaves 2 pairs of true leaves to pick the heart when the plant grows 4 pairs of true leaves.

5. pest control: the common pests of sage are whitefly, aphids and so on, which need to be actively controlled. Common diseases are downy mildew, leaf spot and so on. When the disease occurs, it can be sprayed with 50% topiramine wettable powder 500 times to control.
