Last Updated: 2024/11/10, Lycium barbarum is a kind of medicinal material that we use more now, but we are generally used to make tea or process into drinks. After a few years of low ebb, medlar has re-entered our lives, but due to various reasons, the planting area of medlar has decreased.

Chinese wolfberry is a kind of medicine that we use more now, but we usually use it to make tea or to process it into drinks. After several years of trough, Chinese wolfberry has come back into our lives. However, due to various reasons, the planting area of Chinese wolfberry has decreased, and the planting yield is not very satisfactory, so many people have carried out seed expansion, but the effect is not very obvious. So how to plant to increase the yield of Chinese wolfberry? Next, the pro-agriculture network will tell you.

1. Planting at the right time

In order to increase the yield of Chinese wolfberry, it is necessary to start from the most basic local reasons. First of all, each kind of plant has its own suitable time and environment for growth. Then the most suitable temperature for the growth of Chinese wolfberry is about 15 degrees Celsius. It can be planted in most areas of our country, but the most suitable time for planting Chinese wolfberry is from early March to early April every spring, whether it is Rain Water or the temperature. Are very conducive to the growth of Chinese wolfberry, when planting, the survival rate is several times that of the rest of the time, that is to say, the survival rate is basically as high as 90%, so it fundamentally solves the problem of Chinese wolfberry production.

2. Select improved varieties

Now there are many varieties of Chinese wolfberry, although the adaptability of Chinese wolfberry to the environment is very strong, but some varieties will still lack in some aspects, such as disease resistance, or drought resistance. Then the most common Chinese wolfberry in northern China is generally red Chinese wolfberry and black Chinese wolfberry, but the yield of black Chinese wolfberry is not high, that is to say, red Chinese wolfberry is more suitable for growing in the north. Therefore, when planting, we must select seeds according to the climate and soil structure of our place, so as to ensure the yield.

3. Reasonable density

The plant of Chinese wolfberry is not very large, but the planting density should also be assistant. if the density is reasonable, the yield can be increased to a certain extent. The best planting density is one meter between plants and about two meters between rows. Of course, we can judge according to the fertility of the soil. If the soil is more fertile, we can plant about 200 plants per mu. If the land is relatively barren, at least 300 plants can be planted, so as to ensure the permeability of Chinese wolfberry land and better photosynthesis.

4. Seedling treatment

Before planting, you need to deal with the bought Chinese wolfberry seedlings. First, you need to cut off all the branches and leaves of the Chinese wolfberry seedlings, leaving only the main branches, and then observe whether the roots of the seedlings are damaged. If there is a need to cut off which roots, then apply a layer of medicine on the cut parts, and finally soak the seedlings in clean water for about a day, and then you can plant them. The purpose of this is to avoid the excessive growth of seedlings and to enhance the resistance of seedlings.

5. Fertilizer and water management

Chinese wolfberry can be harvested for many years, so the fertilization every year will be a little different, but it is about the same. We generally need to topdressing three or four times a year. The first year is after Chinese wolfberry survives. We need to apply a certain amount of phosphate fertilizer. When it is overdue, we mainly use nitrogen, phosphate and potash fertilizer, which can increase the rate of fruit setting during miasma period. The third time is when the fruit is about to mature, the main use of phosphate fertilizer and nitrogen fertilizer, in order to promote ripening. Finally, it is necessary to apply fertilizer after the fruit is harvested to ensure the yield in the coming year.
