Rhizoma Polygonatum can be eaten as vegetables, at the same time, it is also a very commonly used medicinal material in traditional Chinese medicine, and it is also a very beautiful scenery in its flowering period. finally, it also has the effect of cosmetology, and the taste is also sweet, so the market demand is increasing, but the wild Polygonatum has basically been mined out, so in order to meet the needs of the market. Of course, we need reasonable artificial planting, so how to plant Polygonatum? Next, let's study hard with the pro-farm network.

1. Land selection and preparation

The living habits of wild Polygonatum polygonatum are generally sunny and fertile, so when we plant, we usually choose areas with relatively complete soil structure, sufficient fertility and good drainage system, which can be clayey soil or sandy soil. Although it likes light, when artificial planting is carried out, it is necessary to choose a semi-sunny area, or to build a shelter on your own, which is enough to have enough sunlight, not too strong. This will also cause harm to Huang Jing. When preparing the land, we should first spread a layer of base fertilizer evenly on it, and then turn it deeply to flatten the land, and finally, we should set up a good ditch all around, and a small ditch every 1.5 meters in the field, so that we can wait for sowing.

2. Sowing method

We usually sow seeds in August or around March every year, and there are two ways of sowing, the first is tuber transplanting, and the second is seed direct seeding. Tuber transplanting is around March when the tuber is dug out of the ground, then divided into small sections, dried and placed evenly in rows, and finally covered with thin soil and covered with a layer of straw or plastic film if necessary. On the other hand, it is easier to sow the seeds directly according to a reasonable distance to cover the soil, and the final treatment is consistent with tuber sowing.

3. Reasonable density

In order to make Polygonatum grow better, then we should reasonably arrange the planting density when sowing. Under normal circumstances, Polygonatum polygonatum can be planted with about 800 to 1000 plants per square meter, which can be planted according to the fertility of the soil. In places where the soil is relatively barren, it is planted at an interval of 20 cm per row and 10 cm per plant. On the other hand, in the more fertile land, it is planted at a distance of 30 cm per row and 20 cm per plant, so that the planted Polygonatum will be high-yielding.

4. Scientific fertilization

Rhizoma Polygonatum needs more nutrients during its growth period, so when we topdressing, we apply fertilizer according to the principle of frequently applying thin fertilizer. The first topdressing was about a week after Rhizoma Polygonatum was planted, and it was mainly for raising seedlings, so a little more nitrogen fertilizer could be applied to a certain extent. Especially Rhizoma Polygonatum needs more nutrients in the peak season, so it needs to be fertilized once a month, mainly farm manure, then supplemented with a small amount of phosphate fertilizer and cake fertilizer, each fertilization can be combined with weeding, which is more conducive to the nutrient absorption of Polygonatum.

5. Field management

If we choose to plant in the half-sun, there is no need for shelter management, but if we are exposed to the sun all day, we need to build some sheds around us reasonably, which can have a shading effect to a certain extent. Rhizoma Polygonatum usually enters the flowering stage in early May, but because its growth period is relatively long, it needs to consume more nutrients, so in order to make better use of nutrients, we need to remove some buds and branches and leaves. Nutrients are completely absorbed by underground tubers. Finally, the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests also need to pay attention to, mainly withered branches, which can be controlled with Bordeaux liquid, while the pests are mainly underground insects such as ground tigers, and we can use trichlorfon powder for root control.
