Orange is strange to many people, but when it comes to oranges, we all know that it is a fruit we often eat and is popular in the market. Orange red is the outer peel of citrus after drying. It has the effect of drying dampness and resolving phlegm. It is mainly used for coughing phlegm, vomiting, riffraff and other diseases. So how to grow tangerine? Let's take a look.

1. Land selection and preparation

Orange red has a wide adaptability to the soil, can adapt to annual precipitation of 1000-1500 mm, air humidity of 75% of the environment, can be planted in red and yellow soil, beach, coastal land. The best pH value of soil is between 5.5 and 6.5, which requires good drainage and permeability of soil. After selecting the land, the land should be adjusted according to local conditions, such as drainage measures should be taken in the land with heavy precipitation, base fertilizer should be applied in the poor soil area, while the coastal beach land has poor water conservation and fertility, and measures such as windbreak forest and improvement should be built.

2. Methods of reproduction

The prevention and control methods of tangerine include seed, grafting, cuttings, striping and other propagation methods, among which the high-altitude striping propagation method can maintain the excellent characters of the mother plant and is the first choice for reproduction. Select the 1-2-year-old branches of the robust and flowering and fruiting mother plant, cut a notch or peel the root of the branch in a ring, about 3-5cm wide, and scrape off the outer layer. After a day or two, the ring was stripped out and wrapped in fertile soil, fixed and fastened with plastic film, waiting for rooting, and then separated and transplanted from the mother plant.

3. Transplanting and planting

In the selected planting site, the hole was dug according to the plant spacing of 5 × 4 meters, and the hole was dug in a cloudy and rainy day, and the topsoil was watered enough to make mud. When planting, the root system of the seedling should be spread out, fill the soil in layers, and lift it up gently while filling, so that the root system is closely connected with the soil. After filling the soil, pour enough water to fix the root, and then cover the grass at the edge of the hole to keep warm and moisturize. After planting, the seedlings should be replenished in time to ensure the whole seedling, and water should be watered according to the weather to keep the soil moist until the growth is stable.

4. Field management

Base fertilizer can be applied according to the fertile condition of the soil before planting, and weeding should be done every two months after planting. Combined with fertilization, 3 kg of organic fertilizer and 25 g of urea should be applied to each plant, while for seedlings of more than two years, 5 kg of organic fertilizer and 50 g of urea should be applied to each plant. In winter and spring every year, the withered branches, old branches, diseased branches and growing branches of the plant should be pruned to promote the growth of fruit branches, increase the permeability of the plant and achieve the goal of high yield.
