Last Updated: 2024/11/06, Speaking of "cuckoo", flower friends are probably no stranger, right? There are many kinds of it, with a total of more than 900 species, of which there are about 800 species in Asia. Among them, the "western cuckoo" is one of the best. It has gorgeous colors and beautiful gestures. With these, it is widely used in gardens, suitable for planting in forests, streams, rocks and other places. However, some people say that it is very difficult to raise, that is why?

1. The reason why it is difficult to raise

It is said that it is difficult to feed, of course, because of its habits, it is more stringent on many factors.

First of all, the temperature, it requires 15 to 25 degrees, high can not exceed 30 degrees, not even low, below 5 degrees will stop growing.

In addition, water, which is also harsh, prefers to be moist and cannot allow the soil to be too dry for a long time; however, it is also afraid of waterlogging, and the soil is not too wet.

Then there is light, which is not particularly fond of light, but it can't do without light, let alone exposure to the sun.

Finally, the flower soil, because its roots are relatively slender, so it also has some requirements for the quality of the soil.

2. How to raise it better

(1) temperature: the suitable temperature range has been mentioned above. Therefore, farmers in areas that are too hot in summer and too cold in winter need to pay attention to taking measures to cool down or keep out the cold according to specific conditions, so as not to damage the plants.

(2) moisture: generally speaking, it is necessary to keep the flower soil relatively wet. In order to achieve this goal, in its faster growth stage, you can check every day, if the flower soil is dry, water it, if it is wet, you can not water it for a while.

(3) Light: in view of its requirements, scattered light is of course the most appropriate. To this end, it is OK to put it on the balcony, windowsill and other places. If there is too strong light occasionally, remember to cover it up.

(4) soil quality: considering its root system, the flower soil must be loose and breathable. In addition, drainage should also be considered. Therefore, we can mix rotten leaf map, peat soil and perlite to raise it.
