Cymbidium grandiflorum
The origin of Dahongmei is in Fujian Province, and it was spread in many places in the early days, such as Mr. Wu of Xinghua Road in Shengping District of Shantou (when Mr. Wu called Da Wumei), Mr. du of Puning and so on. This variety has vertical leaves, with bridge angle, leaf foot contraction, Reed head of medium size, large flowers out of the shelf, orderly arrangement of bolls, mostly five-petaled nests, occasional split-head closure, outer petal round head fine root, tongue roll. The opening product is slightly flexible, and it is the best one of the new and old species of ink orchid at present. Many years ago, I was named Lingdong Damei, which was comparable to that of Lingnan Damei. In 2006, when Mr. Lin Zhongxian of Chunchen Village came to Chaoshan to buy Tieshan Hongmei, he came to my house and said that this was the variety he called Dahongmei. In order to respect Mr. Lin, he no longer called Lingdong Damei. It's my first product over the past few years.
