Hops is a perennial climbing herb of Moraceae. As its name implies, hops is the main raw material used to make beer. And the female flower of hops also has the effect of calming the nerves and diuresis, invigorating the stomach and eliminating food. It can be used to treat abdominal distension, edema and other problems. it was originally a kind of weed, but now it has been planted everywhere in our country after finding its value. So the editor brings you the planting technology of hops today. Let's take a look at it.

1. Land selection and preparation

Hops is originally a kind of weed, which is distributed all over our country, so it has a strong ability to adapt to the soil. However, when planting hops, we should take into account the yield and quality of hops, so we should choose thick and fertile soil to ensure convenient transportation and transportation. Then it is necessary to do a good job of soil preparation and turn the soil about 28 centimeters deep. If the trench is opened again, the depth and width of the trench will be kept at about 50cm. Then apply rotten farm manure 3000kg per mu. Apply it into the ditch and fully mix with the soil to improve soil fertility.

2. Build scaffolding

Because hops is a climbing plant, we should also build scaffolding when planting hops. The construction of scaffolding is divided into low shed and high shed. When building a low shed, it is necessary to control the distance, and the height of the shelf is controlled at about 3 meters. Then the part of the soil is about 1 meter, keeping a certain inclination. Then pull the thin wire at the top of each pillar and let the hops climb and grow. This scaffolding method has the advantages of low investment and strong wind resistance, but its permeability is poor and it is laborious to manage. On the contrary, the construction of high shed has a large investment, but the planting environment is good.

3. Timely planting

The planting time of hops is usually in early spring, usually when the spring temperature rises to about 11 degrees, you can start to determine the seedlings, mainly depending on the region. We should control the row spacing according to the climate, variety and frame construction, and keep the plant spacing at about 50 cm and the row spacing at about 2.8 meters when planting in the same year. Then in the second year, one plant should be removed from each other, and the distance between plants will be expanded to about 1 meter. Before planting, the seedlings were disinfected with Bordeaux solution to prevent infection. When planting, put the seedlings in the middle of the ditch and keep the distance between the top of the seedlings and the ground at about 11 cm. Then fill the pit, cover the soil, and water it after planting.

4. Covering plastic film

After the seedlings are planted, we also need to do a good job of plastic film mulching. After the hops seedlings are planted, when there is no stagnant water in the planting ditch, the film should be covered in time. In order to improve the effect of film mulching, a stick should be erected as a support on each ditch after a certain distance. After covering the film, all the edges around the film should be pressed with stone. Then, when the seedlings grow to 20cm or so in the ditch, we should do a good job of releasing seedlings and pay attention to the opening of the film when releasing seedlings. After 6 months, when the seedlings grow to about two meters, the membrane will be broken and the film will be recovered.

The above is a brief introduction of hops planting technology. In fact, the cultivation of hops is very simple, as long as do a good management work, we can ensure the normal growth of hops. That's all for today's introduction. This article is for reference only. I hope it can help you all.
