Most people have no idea how to raise bonsai, not to mention the rare ash bonsai. Spend hundreds or even tens of thousands of yuan to buy a pot of ash bonsai to go home, because the maintenance is not in place, it is a pity. In fact, as long as a good grasp of the following aspects, the family to raise ash bonsai is not difficult.

Watering

Ash bonsai to master the humidity, generally to "do not dry, do not water, water thoroughly" as the principle. Ash bonsai should be watered as little as possible, usually only keep some moisture in the potted soil, but appropriate more water in the midsummer season. The time of watering is mainly in the early morning or in the morning, try to avoid watering at night.

Light

In spring, summer and autumn, ash bonsai must be placed in a sunny place (except for intermittent shade in order to avoid strong light in midsummer), and indoor bonsai must be exposed at least every three days. In winter, there must be sufficient diffuse light to maintain normal photosynthesis of the plant.

Ambient temperature

Ash bonsai has strong adaptability, low temperature to-20 ℃, high temperature 40 ℃ without adverse reactions and diseases, so don't pay too much attention to temperature. But whether north or south, it is best to move indoors in winter. Pay attention to the replenishment of water where there is heating.

Wipe the bud at the right time

Every year, ash bonsai has two peak seasons in spring and autumn. The recovery of all things in spring is the time when ash trees sprout the most. At this time, it is necessary to erase the redundant new buds in time. After a short dormancy in midsummer, ash ushered in its second growth peak in mid-late August every year. Although there are not as many new buds as in spring, they should be erased in time.

Basin soil

After the ash bonsai is formed, the deep basin should be replaced with a shallow basin to reduce the soil in the basin as much as possible. At the same time, when mixing soil, it is necessary to add more cinder appropriately, and the ratio of soil to coal can account for half of it.

Fertilizer application

Ash bonsai should be fertilized frequently in the growing season. In order to facilitate tree absorption and avoid waste of fertilizer, it should be applied once every 5-7 days. The fertilization time is generally carried out when the basin soil is dry in the afternoon on a sunny day, and the leaves are watered after application. After the ash bonsai is formed, it can be basically achieved without fertilization. But in order not to make the tree's physique too weak, you can apply some thin fertilizer before the leaves of ash trees fall in late autumn.
