What is the rose?

When it comes to rose, we will not feel strange, because the flowering period is long, also known as "month red", the natural flowering period is from May to November, and the flowers bloom continuously. Today, the editor will introduce to you when the rose flowers bloom and what are the conditions for them to bloom.

When does the rose blossom?

Chinese rose blossoms every year from mid-May to mid-November, with a florescence of up to 200 days, so it is named "Yueyuhong". Flowers have a pleasant fragrance when they bloom. The flowering time of Chinese rose is generally said to be longer in the first crop of spring and the longest in the last crop before winter, which mainly depends on the temperature. The higher the temperature, the shorter the florescence; the lower the temperature, the longer the flowering period. In addition, if the petals are hard and thick, the florescence will be longer; if the petals are soft and thin, the florescence will be shorter.

What are the flowering conditions of rose?

1. Sunshine must be long: where rose is planted, it is not only ventilated but also can get sunshine for more than half a day. This is the first condition that it can blossom like flowers. If it is placed in a half-cloudy and half-sunny place or in a shady place with insufficient light, it can only bloom in spring and autumn at most in a year. Therefore, for families whose living conditions can not meet the requirements of light, it is best not to plant Chinese roses but to plant more shady flowers.

2. Prune regularly: although the sunshine is good, if it is not pruned for a long time, the rose will not grow well. The way to trim is. After December each year, the rose leaves should be pruned once. The branches left behind are about 15 cm high. The pruning site is about 1 cm above the outstretched leaf buds, and the side branches, diseased branches and concentric branches are removed at the same time. After May, every time the flower is finished, the 2-beat 3 or 1-stroke 2 of the branch that has bloomed will be trimmed, so that there will be more opportunities for flower bud regeneration. If you want the flowers to open big, you can also pick part of the buds when there are many buds, which can not only concentrate the nutrition, but also prolong the florescence and open in batches.

3. Fertilization times should be more and timely: general new species or transplanted potted roses can be cultivated with humus and loose loess, and it is best to mix them with 1 green bran ash or a little broad bean shell, bean cake or chicken pigeon dung, so that the rose can continuously absorb various nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium from the soil. If the old potted rose needs to change pots, you can also apply base fertilizer according to the law; if you do not change pots, you can remove 2-3 cm of soil and fill in some fresh fish belly intestines or chicken pigeon dung and bean cake crumbs as base fertilizer. This is best done when the rose is dormant from January to February. In this way, the fertilizer will gradually ferment into liquid fertilizer, with Rain Water or irrigated water infiltrating into the root, achieving better results. It is the peak growing season of rose after May. Topdressing should be applied once every 10 days. The rotten fermented fish juice and vegetable leaf juice can be mixed with 3 parts of fertilizer and 7 parts of water, and the fertilization will be stopped in November. If you can do it in accordance with the above requirements, you can see the flowers of the rose every month. Rose has a natural aversion to heat, it grows best when the temperature is 20-25 ℃, and it is difficult to grow when it is more than 30 degrees. If you have a good grasp of fertilization, you can overcome its weakness of being afraid of high temperatures in summer.

4. Change the basin: the rose does not have to change or turn the basin every year. If the small basin changes the big basin, it can be carried out all the year round.

How can the rose blossom more?

1. There are many rose flowers and need more fertilizer, so more fertilizer should be applied and enough organic fertilizer should be applied before sprouting. For potted rose, the pot should be changed once in early spring. The formula of pot soil is: (loam) 5 ∶ (rotten leaf soil) 2 ∶ (mature dung) 2 ∶ (sand) 1, then add a small amount of vegetable cake and mix it well. From now on, topdressing every 10 to 15 days. Topdressing can be made with cake fertilizer and phosphate fertilizer retting liquid fertilizer, especially after flowering in May, it should be fertilized in time to promote flowering in summer and autumn.

2. During the growing season, the rose should fully accept the sun, and it is appropriate to keep the light for 8 hours every day. If it is used as an indoor ornamental, it should be moved in before 11:00 and out before 4 p.m., so as to accept the soft light around noon and prolong the flowering time.

3. Rose is semi-dormant when it is above 33 ℃, and it is most favorable for growth when the average temperature is 20-25 ℃. Therefore, proper shading and multiple water spraying should be carried out in summer. Cooling and moisturizing, it is best to spray water in the morning and afternoon in the growing season to create a humid environment and promote the growth of flowers and leaves.

4. After flowering, the rose should be cut below the third compound leaf under the flower to promote strong new branches and bud and blossom as soon as possible. The main points of pruning techniques are: weak short branches first cut, high cut; strong branches cut after cutting, short cut, in order to promote the weak and suppress the strong, and promote its blooming neatly. The pruning length of long branches should not exceed 1 prime 2 to avoid slow germination of axillary buds. In addition, there should not be too many flowers in each stubble, and 3-5 potted roses are suitable, depending on the strength of the plant. Leave too many flowers, nutrients are too scattered, flowers are small and affect the next crop of flowers.
