The producing environment of tulips

Under the influence of Mediterranean climate, tulips have the characteristics of adapting to cold and humid winter and dry and hot summer, and have the characteristics of dormancy in summer, rooting and sprouting in autumn and winter, but not unearthed. They need to expand and grow to form stems and leaves in early February (temperature above 5 ℃) after winter low temperature, and blossom from March to April. Tulip belongs to long sunshine flowers, like to the sun, shelter, warm and humid winter, cool and dry summer climate, more than 8 ℃ can be normal growth, generally can withstand-14 ℃ low temperature, cold resistance is very strong, in cold areas such as thick snow cover, bulbs can be in the open winter, but afraid of heat, if summer comes early, midsummer is very hot, it is difficult for bulbs to spend summer after dormancy. It requires slightly acidic sandy loam with rich humus, loose and fertile soil and good drainage, and avoid alkali soil and continuous cropping.
