Four-leaf clover is a rare variety of clover (including clover and alfalfa). It also has more than five leaves, up to eighteen leaves at most, and only one of the clover or five thousand plants is four-leaf. Because it is very rare is given a lot of special significance, let's take a look at the four-leaf clover specimen preparation method!

Material preparation

Four-leaf clover specimen production materials include dry old newspapers or papyrus, breathable specimen clips, solid copper oxide, 50% glacial acetic acid, and so on. Typical, complete and representative plants need to be collected when collecting specimens. Select symmetrical, green, with a certain growth period of four-leaf clover, so that the production will be suitable for collection.

Drug preparation

Pour the solid copper oxide into the glacial acetic acid solution of a certain ratio and heat it with water according to a certain proportion (specific secrecy) until copper oxide and acetic acid form a copper acetate solution, which is blue. The copper acetate solution is filtered and poured into a jar for preservation. When in use, add twice as much distilled water to form a color preserving solution.

Heating and color preservation

After the color retention solution is heated to a certain temperature, the washed and finished plants are put in, and the time is determined according to the texture of the leaves, the thin and tender leaves only need to cook for a few minutes, the thick and solid leaves need to be cooked for a long time, the change of the leaves is green → yellow green or brown → green, take out the specimen and rinse with clean water. If the proportion of the color retention solution is not appropriate or the heating time is not controlled properly, the boiled four-leaf clover will be yellowed or even spoiled.

Pressing drying

After the specimens are sorted out, they are pressed and dried, and each fresh specimen is clamped with old newspaper or papyrus, which has obvious characteristics on the dorsal and ventral side of some plant leaves, and part of the leaves can be turned over. After clamping the specimen, put it into a breathable specimen clip and fasten it with a rope, and press it with a heavy object on top. The next day, the specimens were sorted out and replaced with dry old newspaper or papyrus. After a few days, the pressed specimens were taken out and made.

Color preservation and over-molding

When making specimens, the table paper should be taken according to the size of the specimen, and the table paper and plant specimens must be sorted out when going on the table paper, and the specimens should be arranged reasonably on the table paper. A complete specimen of four-leaf clover, made after color preservation and plastic sealing, can not only be retained for a long time, but also a handicraft with certain appreciation value, which is the first choice for collection and gift.
