Let's take a look at when Dripping Guanyin blooms!

Will the water drop Guanyin flower?

Dripping Guanyin will bloom. Dishui Guanyin is a leafy plant that likes damp heat. It will bloom only when the temperature and humidity are reached. It is not easy to bloom in the north. Some flower friends ask how many years it takes for Dripping Guanyin to bloom. According to the maintenance experience of flower friends, Dripping Guanyin can bloom in the second year, but the flowering time mostly depends on the fertility of the soil.

When does the water bloom?

Dishui Guanyin likes to grow in humid and hot environment. It usually blooms in winter and spring after October. It blooms from February to April, and dormancy blooms from November to May and June of the following year. In the north, because the ambient temperature and humidity are not easy to meet the requirements of flowering, Dripping Guanyin generally does not bloom in the north. However, if the temperature and humidity of the home meet the flowering requirements of Dripping Guanyin, Dripping Guanyin will occasionally bloom.

How does the drip guanyin grow in potted plants?

1. Substrate: Cultivate in nutrient soil prepared by mixing loose, drained and ventilated domestic peat, 2∶2∶1 pond mud, peat soil and coarse sand with a small amount of cake fertilizer. Mix peat with water and mix well. After mixing well with water, hold a handful of peat tightly, and water can seep out from the cracks of fingers.

2. Upper basin: The old basin that is reused must be soaked in potassium permanganate 2000 times solution for more than half an hour, then washed with water and dried for use. Large potted plants are generally planted in pots with a specification of 20 cm. When planting, first pad about 4 cm of substrate at the bottom of the cup, and then transfer the screened seedlings into the cup. The seedlings should not be planted too deep, and it is appropriate to plant the base of the flat plant. The substrate is moderately tight. Fill the cup 8 minutes full, 2~3 plants/pot.

3, water spray: dripping Guanyin is particularly wet, the growing season not only requires the basin soil to be moist, but also requires the air humidity to be not less than 60%. Summer high temperature to strengthen water spraying, for its creation of a relatively cool and humid environment, placed in the indoor air-conditioned hall, not only to ensure that the basin soil wet, but also from time to time to spray leaves. If the winter room temperature can not reach 15℃, watering should be controlled, otherwise it is easy to cause the roots of the plants to rot. Under normal circumstances, warm water can be sprayed once a week to keep the leaves dark green.

4. Fertilization: Dishui Guanyin is more fertile. From March to October, liquid fertilizer should be applied every half month. The proportion of nitrogen can be increased appropriately. If a little ferrous sulfate can be added, the leaves will grow as big as lotus leaves and smooth. Fertilization should be stopped when the temperature is below 15℃.

5. Pruning: Dishui Guanyin is a foliage plant. Under improper planting and maintenance, the largest leaves will appear yellow and dry. At this time, they should be cut off with a knife together with the stem, otherwise it will affect the growth and ornamental of other leaves.

6, change the basin: water Guanyin usually change the basin once a year in spring, can loosen the soil once a month to keep the basin soil in a good state of permeability.
