Orchid plant preparation
Good plant materials coupled with good environment and scientific management will make orchids grow better and get twice the result with half the effort, so orchids have been in tireless pursuit. I have been experimenting with the application of plant materials to environmental problems, and mixed plants made from various plant materials are also being tested unremittingly. In order to obtain suitable plant materials for the environment has become my top priority. The following is a breakdown of some data and the preparation and application of new plant materials based on last year's experiments:
1. The disadvantages of orchid soil mixed with peat soil in the autumn of 2006, some adjustments were made in the use of plant materials, such as:
①, 50% phytolith, 30% orchid soil, 5% snake wood, 5% peat soil, 5% fairy soil, 5% plastic foam particles.
②, 50% phytolith, 20% orchid clay, 5% snake wood, 20% peat soil, 5% plastic foam particles.
③, 50% phytolith, 10% orchid soil, 5% snake wood, 20% peat soil, 10% fairy soil, 5% plastic foam particles.
As the above three kinds of plant materials with different proportions have been turned into the basin, the unwashed peat soil is bulged and hardened like bricks, and the new root crystal head is easy to necrosis when the root system is impenetrable. The root system is short and thick and black, and the old root is easy to rot. Active soil is used as base fertilizer, which is generally buried in the middle and upper part of the plant material. Active soil varies greatly in several different plant materials, and performs well in pure granular plant materials such as gold and stone mixed fairy soil or mountain mud. however, the active soil has a reaction under the mixture of peat soil, so that the collection of unwashed peat soil is impenetrable, and the symptom is exactly the same as that of orchid soil mixed peat soil.
Second, plant material adjustment and rational application of base fertilizer summed up the gains and losses of plant material use and the lack of environment in 2005, changing to a new environment with plenty of sunshine. Before changing the new environment, a number of cultivation experiments were done, such as different pots and plant materials on flower racks and balconies, so a more optimized plant material preparation was selected.
①, 50% gold plant stone, 40% Xinchang orchid mud, 5% snake wood, 5% plastic foam particles
②, 50% gold plant stone, 20% Xinchang orchid mud, 20% Qingcheng black fairy soil, 5% snake wood, 5% plastic foam particles
③, 50% gold plant stone, 15% burning soil, 30% fine washed peat soil, 5% snake wood
④, Friends of Orchid 101plant material
⑤, pure gold stone 90, snake wood 5%, foam 5%
⑥, selected old plant materials
In addition, there are two kinds of proportion of the first five kinds of plant seal basin surface, one is gold plant stone plus a little snake wood, the other is gold plant stone, burning soil and a little snake wood. The first and second kinds of plant materials accounted for 45% respectively, the third and fourth kinds were used for several pots experiments, the fifth was for covering the old man, and the sixth was for planting downhill grass. This time, all the orchids with good roots used base fertilizer "Zhixiang", "active soil" and "magic fertilizer". The great adjustment of plant materials and the sufficient sunlight of the environment will lay a solid foundation for the growth and high yield of orchids.

There is a kind of stone that is white when dry and turns brilliant gold when soaked. There is a kind of stone, with a fine pore, both for the rapid discharge of excess water orchid plants, but also for a long time to keep moisture orchid plants. This kind of stone is called "Zhijinshi", which is affectionately called "breathing" by Lan You.

In 2008, the flowers are yellow-red when they are teething, and when they are adjacent to each other, they have yellow buds with 5-7 inflorescences, and the whole flower turns when it opens.
