Last Updated: 2024/11/06, This plant is also called duck paw wood, compound leaves, usually have six to nine leaflets, the shape is oblong or oval shape, green, above some irregular yellow patches. Recently, a friend said that the leaves of this plant in his family had blackened, and he took a lot of measures but did not recover. What should he do in such a situation?

I. reasons and measures

1. Light

It may turn black because it doesn't have enough light when it grows. The intensity of the sun will affect the color of the leaves, strong leaves green, weak leaves light, long-term lack of light, the leaves will be black.

Solution: this situation needs to move its position and give it a well-lit environment.

two。 Moisture content

It may have turned black because it was watered too much. Too much water may cause stagnant water in the flower soil, damaging its roots, making it unable to properly absorb nutrients from the soil, which will also make its leaves black.

Solution: to control the amount of water, not too much, would rather pour more times than have too much water in the soil.

3. Breathable

It may also turn black because there is not enough fresh air. Some people keep it in the room, but don't put it in a ventilated place. And usually turn on the air conditioner in summer and winter, if it faces the air conditioner directly, it will accept the very dry wind, which will also affect the leaves and make them black.

Solution: change its position and give it a growing environment with smooth air circulation.

II. Daily maintenance

1. Usually don't put it in a room where you can't see the sun, but by the sunny window, and the air should be ventilated. The drainage of flower soil should be good enough and it should be fertile and breathable. If it is a potted plant, it can be raised with a mixture of peat and rotten leaves.

2. It likes warm and humid areas and grows very fast. Put it at a temperature of 20 to 30 degrees Celsius, not less than five degrees Celsius in winter. If it is below zero, it will freeze off the leaves, and if it is lucky enough not to damage the stem, it will grow leaves again the following year.

3. If the humidity is high and the moisture is enough, it will have dense branches and leaves, but not too many, or it will rot the roots, which is a common symptom of many plants. If there is a lack of water or the water is not coordinated, the leaves will also fall. If it is in the north, it will dormant in winter, stop growing temporarily, it is too hot in summer, and its growth is not smooth, only spring and autumn are the best for its growth, so water must be controlled in these two seasons.
