The growth habit of Lingxiao Flower

Lingxiao flowers are produced in various parts of the Yangtze River basin and Hebei, Shandong, Henan, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Shaanxi and other places in China, and are cultivated in Taiwan, Japan, Vietnam, India and West Pakistan. Sex likes light and warmth, and the cold tolerance of seedlings is poor. If the light is not enough, it can grow, but the branches are slender. Rich, deep, well-drained sandy soil is required.

Propagation methods of Lingxiao Flower

1. Sowing: after the seeds of Lingxiao are ripe in October, the pods are picked, harvested and dried, the seeds are removed, sundries are removed, and the seeds are dried and stored in the shade. The seeds are sowed in spring the following year. Before sowing, the seeds can be soaked in clean water for 2 to 3 days to promote germination.

2. Cuttage: cuttings can be carried out in both spring and summer, and thicker annual branches are selected. Cut the cuttings of 10cm to 15cm, cut off the leaves, and then insert the cuttings into the soil according to the row spacing of 15cm to 20cm and the plant spacing of 5cm. Press and water the cuttings.

3. Pruning: planted in a shed, in order to promote exuberant growth and luxuriant flowering, the slender, winter withered and crowded branches can be cut off before sprouting in early spring to make them ventilated and transparent, which is conducive to growth and flowering.

4. Diseases and pests: Lingxiao flower has few diseases and insect pests, but it is easy to be harmed by aphids in the dry season of spring and autumn, so attention should be paid to timely prevention and control.
