The growth habit of Wenshu Orchid

Wenshulan is native to Indonesia and Sumatra. It is cultivated in tropical and subtropical provinces of southern China, but it is especially cultivated in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province. Sex likes warm, moist, sufficient light, fertile sandy soil environment, not cold-tolerant, saline-alkali-tolerant soil, but avoid strong direct light in seedling stage, the suitable temperature for growth is 15: 20 ℃, and the suitable storage temperature is about 8 ℃ in winter bulb dormancy period.

Propagation methods of Wenshu Orchid

1. Ramet: the ramet of Wenshu orchid can be carried out in spring and autumn, combined with changing pots in spring. Pour the mother plant out of the basin, peel off the bulbs around it, and plant them separately.

2. Sowing: Manjushri should be sowed from March to April. It can be sowed in a shallow basin, covered with soil about 2 cm thick, watered thoroughly and kept moderately moist at the temperature of 16-22 ℃. It can germinate after about 2 weeks.

Culture methods of Wenshu orchid

1. Soil: Manjusri does not have strict requirements on soil, is resistant to salt and alkali, and grows better in soils rich in humus, loose and fertile, and good drainage.

2. Watering: Wenshu orchid needs sufficient moisture in the growing season, often keep the soil moist, but not waterlogged, and reduce watering after autumn.

3. Sunshine: in order to make the leaves green, beautiful and tidy without affecting the light, Wenshulan should be properly shaded in the heat and heat of summer.

4. Temperature: Wenshulan prefers warmth and is not resistant to cold. The suitable temperature for growth is 15-20 ℃. It should be overwintered in an indoor environment of no less than 5 ℃ in winter.

5. Fertilization: Manjusri likes fertilizer, manure should be applied 2-3 times a month, and phosphate fertilizer should be applied twice before and after flowering, which is beneficial to more flowering and long-lasting flowering.

6. Pruning: after flowering, the pedicel of Wenshu orchid that leaves no seed should be cut off, and the leaves of old yellow should be removed at the same time.

Matters needing attention of Wenshulan

1. Wenshulan is most afraid of the scorching sun in the hot summer. when entering this season, plants need to be transplanted to the shady area or the balcony in the north for maintenance, so as to keep the ground hydrated at all times and make the environment dry, moist and cool.

2. Wenshu orchid likes fertilizer, so we should pay attention to fertilizing frequently when breeding. During the growing period, we need to fertilize frequently and apply thin fertilizer. Nitrogen fertilizer is the main fertilizer in spring, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer is used in bud stage, and cake fertilizer is used in autumn, which is recycled once every two weeks.

3. Wenshulan should pay attention to watering during its growing period. the watering methods are different in spring, summer, autumn and winter. They need to be watered almost every day in spring and once every evening in summer. Since the beginning of autumn, they need to be strictly controlled in winter, about once a fortnight.
