Ryegrass is a common grass used in golf lanes, and it is also a good forage grass widely introduced and cultivated all over the world. Ryegrass is a perennial plant of the family ryegrass, born in meadows and grasslands, and roadside wetlands are common. It is widely distributed in Kashmir, Pakistan, Europe, Asia's warm temperate zone and northern Africa. Let's take a look at the seed price and planting methods of ryegrass.

How much is the ryegrass seed per jin?

The price of ryegrass seed is about 815 yuan per jin, but the price varies greatly due to variety, quality, market and so on. Ryegrass can be divided into perennial ryegrass and annual ryegrass. Generally, annual ryegrass is mainly used as winter forage grass, while perennial ryegrass is mostly turf type, its cold and heat tolerance is poor, and it is not shady. It can grow for more than 2 years under suitable conditions of wind and soil.

Growth habits of ryegrass

Ryegrass likes warm, cool and humid climate, and is suitable for growing in cool summer and not too cold in winter. It can grow well at about 10 ℃. The suitable temperature for growth is below 27 ℃, and the growth is poor at 35 ℃. Strong light, short sunshine and low temperature are beneficial to tillering. If the temperature is too high, the tiller will stop or die. It is more resistant to moisture, but poor drainage or high groundwater level is also disadvantageous to the growth of ryegrass. It is not tolerant to drought, especially high heat and drought in summer. The requirements of the soil are relatively strict, like fertilizer and are not barren. It is slightly acid-resistant, and the suitable soil pH is 6-7.

Sowing method of ryegrass

1. Soil preparation and fertilization: ryegrass planting selects plots with loose soil, fertile texture, flat terrain and convenient drainage and irrigation, ploughing and clearing weeds before sowing, and suppressing the land after breaking the soil, applying 1000-1500 kg farm manure or 40-50 kg calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer per mu.

2. Sowing methods: there are three sowing methods of ryegrass: strip sowing, on-demand sowing and sowing.

① sowing: sow the arranged land with a row spacing of 20cm to 30cm, sowing width of 5cm, covering soil of about 1cm after sowing, and water thoroughly.

② on demand: according to the distance of 15 × 15 cm, sowing 12 seeds per pond, covering soil about 1 cm after sowing, watering thoroughly.

Planting methods of ryegrass

1. Weed removal: there are three methods of ryegrass weed control: soil treatment before sowing, pre-bud treatment and seedling treatment. Soil treatment before sowing is to use glyphosate to remove weeds the day before sowing, and pre-bud treatment is to spray glyphosate after sowing and before emergence.

2. Rational fertilization: when sowing ryegrass, it is required to apply about 3000 kg of organic fertilizer per mu as base fertilizer, 20 kg of calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer as seed dressing, nitrogen fertilizer at seedling stage and after each harvest, and 5-10 kg urea per mu, such as biogas slurry irrigation.

3. Timely irrigation: ryegrass is sensitive to water conditions, properly watering at tillering, jointing and booting stage, and timely irrigation in case of drought, so as to keep the soil moist and increase yield obviously.

4. Harvest and utilization: ryegrass can be cut for the first time 40-50 days after sowing, no matter whether the growth is good or bad, the stubble should not be less than one inch for the first time, and then be harvested every 20-30 days according to the growth situation.

5. Pest control: ryegrass is mainly harmed by ground tiger and mackerel after emergence, which can be controlled by spraying trichlorfon, dipterex and other related drugs before dark, and ground tiger can be controlled by irrigation.
