2. Yellow canna: Corolla and staminodes apricot yellow are different from orthodox species. Inflorescences are solitary and loose, with few flowers, few bracts, large and soft flowers, reverse downward, tube-shaped, yellowish in the lower part, and round lips.

3. Two-color canna: two-color canna is a rare treasure in the genus Canna. It is named for its bright red and five-star yellow flowers on the same flower stem. What is more valuable is that the petals are red and yellow, and the same plant is different.

Propagation methods of canna

1. Sowing: from April to May, the hard seed coat of canna was cut with a sharp tool, soaked in warm water for one day and then sowed on the ground, sprouted 2-3 weeks after sowing, transplant once when 2-3 leaves grew, and blossomed in the same year or the following year.

2. Tuber: the old rhizome of Banana was dug out and divided into lumps from March to April. 2-3 buds with roots were retained on each rhizome, planted in soil about 10 cm deep, and the plant spacing was kept at 40-50 cm.

Culture methods of canna

1. Soil: canna does not have strict requirements on soil, and grows best in loose, fertile and well-drained sandy loam. it is also suitable for the growth of fertile clayey soil, which is usually mixed with rotten leaf soil, garden soil, peat soil, mountain mud and other soil rich in organic matter.

2.Illumination: during the growing period of canna, sufficient light is required to ensure to receive at least 5 hours of direct sunlight every day. The environment is too dark and lack of light will delay the flowering period. If it is placed in a cool place during flowering, it can prolong the flowering period.

3. Temperature: the suitable growth temperature of canna is 15: 30 ℃, the ambient temperature should not be lower than 10 ℃, and move to a cool and ventilated place when the temperature is more than 40 ℃. Frosts Descent can safely survive the winter by moving the potted canna to 5-10 ℃.

4. Humidity: canna is very fond of fertilizer and moisture resistance, so the basin should be watered thoroughly. During the growing period, water should be sprayed on the leaf surface once or twice a day to maintain humidity. After the scape grows, it should be watered frequently, and watering should be reduced in winter, based on the principle of "dry and wet".

5. Fertilization: in addition to applying sufficient basal fertilizer before planting, banana should be topdressing 3-4 times a month in the peak growing season. If the buds are not produced 20-30 days before the scheduled flowering date, 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate can be sprayed on the leaves to promote flowering.

6. Insect pests: canna has strong adaptability, extensive management, not delicate, and few insect pests, but from May to August every year, attention should be paid to leaf curling pests so as not to damage their tender leaves and inflorescences. 50% dichlorvos and 1000 times of dichlorvos or 50% pine EC can be sprayed and controlled.
