Haitong, which is produced in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces in China, is a kind of evergreen shrub. It has strong adaptability to climate, can withstand cold and heat, can endure semi-shade and strong sun, and is relatively easy to grow. It is precisely because of this characteristic that Haitong is widely used in garden planting as a greening plant, and can also be used as a potted plant layout hall or venue. What the pro-agricultural network wants to introduce to you today is the breeding mode of Haitong. Let's take a look at it.

I. sowing method

Many people may not know that Haitong has its own seeds. Haitong's seeds are hidden in its pulp, and the fruit is cyan when it is not ripe, and every year between October and November, the fruit slowly ripens to yellow, cracking the peel of the mature fruit, and then knocking out the seeds, so we harvest the seeds of Haitong.

After obtaining the seeds of Haitong, you should carry out simple treatment to preserve them, and you can sow them in March next year. Usually, the germination rate of Haitong seeds is about 50%, which is neither high nor low, but the seedlings grow very slowly. Usually wait until two years later to formally move to the basin for planting, or wait for a year or two to move directly to the nursery, and let the roots bring soil masses when transplanting.

2. Cutting method

In contrast, cutting is much more convenient than sowing. The cutting time should be chosen in spring. When Haitong grows new leaves, the buds should be taken out and cut. But the buds are also required. Its year should be one to two years old, and the length should be about 15 centimeters.

Insert the cut twigs into the sand bed. After cutting, the main light intensity should not be too strong, it is good to be able to accept astigmatism, and the humidity should be maintained. In this way, Haitong can take root in about 20 days, normally watering and fertilizing, and pruning in time if the branches are too long. Haitong can be transplanted to the nursery two or three years later.

The above are the two methods of paulownia reproduction introduced by pro-agricultural network. Which one do you prefer? If Haitong grows well, you can still see Haitong blossom from March to May every year. Haitong flowers are white, and then they turn yellow and fragrant. It is also a good choice to plant them in the courtyard.
