Since June 1, the whole country has entered the main flood season. On the morning of the 1st, the State General Administration of Flood Control held a consultation meeting to analyze and judge the current situation of flood control and drought relief, and further arrange arrangements for flood control, drought relief and typhoon prevention.

According to the discussion and analysis, it is expected that the precipitation in eastern China in June is "more in the north and south and less in the middle". The rainy areas are mainly located in the south of the Yangtze River and the Songliao River basin. the main areas with little rain are located in the north of Huang-Huai, the south of North China and the eastern part of Northwest China. In the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, super-warning floods will occur in major rivers such as the two lakes in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, Taihu Lake, Guijiang River in Guangxi, Beijiang River in Guangdong, Qiantang River in Zhejiang Province, and Minjiang River in Fujian Province. Major floods may occur in some small and medium-sized rivers, and droughts may occur in the north and southwest. The number of typhoons is close to the same period of the year. Flood control and hydrology departments at all levels in Henan and other provinces began to be on duty 24 hours a day during the flood season to scientifically dispatch water conservancy projects and store as much water as possible to reserve sufficient water resources for possible droughts.

Two heavy rainfall weather processes occurred in the southern region from 25 to 27 and 28 to 31 May. Heavy rainfall caused floods, hailstorms, landslides and landslides in parts of Fujian, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan and other provinces (municipalities directly under the Central Government), leaving 16 people dead and 3 missing.

From May 29 to 30, strong convective weather such as strong winds and hail occurred in parts of Northwest and North China, with local hail up to 1 cm in diameter, affecting apples, grapes, rape, corn, wheat, flax, beans and other crops, and nearly 420000 people were affected.
