National Strategic Alliance for technological Innovation of Food and Nutrition and Health Industry in Beijing
On May 28, the "National Food and Nutrition Health Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance" jointly sponsored by China Rural Technology Development Center of Ministry of Science and Technology, Agricultural Products Processing Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Chinese Nutrition Society was formally established in Beijing. Dai Xiaofeng, Director of Agricultural Products Processing Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and Yang Yuexin, President of Chinese Nutrition Society, jointly served as the first president of the alliance. Jia Jingdun, Director of China Rural Technology Development Center of Ministry of Science and Technology, Academician Sun Baoguo, President of Beijing University of Industry and Commerce, Academician Zhu Beiwei of Dalian University of Technology and Vice President Jin Zhengyu of Jiangnan University attended the inaugural meeting.
Jia Jingdun expressed heartfelt congratulations on the establishment of the alliance, pointing out that under the background that China's economic and social development has entered a "new normal" and citizens are increasingly concerned about nutrition and health, vigorously developing nutrition and health industries is of great strategic significance for promoting the sustained, stable and healthy development of China's economy. The Alliance should inherit and carry forward the traditional Chinese diet culture, combine modern science and technology innovation to drive development, undertake the four important tasks of "ensuring national nutrition and health, enhancing national physical fitness, preventing chronic diseases and developing special diets", and make new and greater contributions to the rapid and healthy development of China's food and nutrition health industry.
Dai Xiaofeng read out the nomination list of the first board of directors, vice directors, executive directors, secretary general and other board members of the alliance, and announced the formal establishment of the alliance. He pointed out that with the rapid development of China's economy and society, urban and rural residents 'requirements for diet, nutrition and health will become more and more urgent, and the next 20-30 years will be the golden opportunity period for China's nutrition and health industry. At present, some poor people and rural low-income people in China lack nutritional food. At the same time, chronic diseases caused by excessive nutrition and unreasonable dietary structure occur frequently among urban and rural residents. In addition, the differentiation requirements of nutritional diets for the elderly, infants, patients and special groups will continue to increase rigidly. All these have put forward many brand-new topics for the development of food and nutrition health industry and scientific and technological research, and will also give birth to trillions of huge consumption and service market demands. The Agricultural Products Processing Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences will take innovation-driven development, optimize dietary structure, ensure food safety, national nutrition and health as its own responsibility, vigorously promote the development of food and nutrition health industry, a new strategic industry with Chinese cultural characteristics and food advantages, so as to make it a new growth pole for China's economic development and even the world's economic development in the future, and become a pillar industry, advantageous industry and strategic industry for China's rapid economic development in the next round of economic cycle.
Sun Baoguo, Zhu Beiwei and other experts and representatives delivered speeches respectively, congratulating the establishment of the alliance and expressing their full support for the work of the alliance. The conference also focused on the alliance's work plan and key work in the second half of the year. More than 150 representatives from governments, scientific research institutes, institutions of higher learning, industry associations and enterprises in the fields of food, agriculture, medicine, nutrition and health attended the inaugural meeting.
