There is a great demand for agricultural modernization instruments
There is a great demand for scientific instruments for the development of ecological agriculture, water-saving agriculture, dryland agriculture, precision agriculture and plant protection. To cultivate new varieties of agriculture, animal husbandry, fishery and forestry with high quality, high efficiency, high yield and high resistance is also inseparable from scientific instruments.
"Agriculture needs to analyze, test and prosecute a wide range of objects, from agricultural products to the traceable animal and plant ecological environment and agricultural production inputs, from animal and plant groups, individuals to cells, genes, molecules, from organic to inorganic, from constant to trace, from monitoring to simulating or even creating a specific ecological environment, most of the objects are organisms, and the use conditions are even worse in the fields and sites." Recently, Jiang Shiqiang, executive vice president of the Agricultural instrument Applied Technology Society of the Chinese Instrumentation Society, was interviewed by our reporter while attending the 2015 China Scientific Instruments and Laboratory Technology Summit Forum.
It is reported that the "National Agricultural products quality and Safety Inspection system" has been implemented since 2006, with an investment of about 6 billion yuan in the first phase and about 7 billion yuan in the second phase, of which about 65 percent is used for the purchase of instruments and equipment.
"Pesticide, veterinary and fishery drug residues, toxic and harmful elements, pathogenic bacteria, biotoxins, illegal additives, excessive additives and genetically modified agricultural products have become agricultural and food safety issues of great concern to the world." Jiang Shiqiang said.
According to reports, pesticide residues can be divided into organochlorine, organophosphorus, carbamate, pyrethroid, herbicide and pesticide residues according to chemical composition and structure, while veterinary and fishery drug residues are roughly divided into 15 categories.
"there is also a great demand for scientific instruments for the development of ecological agriculture, water-saving agriculture, dryland agriculture, precision agriculture and plant protection." Jiang Shiqiang told reporters.
Nowadays, the urgent problem is to control the pollution of heavy metals, agricultural residues and harmful compounds in soil. The Ministry of Environmental Protection announced the revised draft of the current soil Environmental quality Standard, in which the soil Environmental quality Standard for Agricultural Land is applicable to farmland, orchards, tea gardens and pastures. For example, the limits of cadmium are subdivided into four grades according to soil pH conditions, the limits of lead, BHC and DDT are tightened, 10 pollutants such as total manganese and total cobalt are added, and the monitoring standards are updated. All these will put forward new requirements for scientific instruments.
In addition, China's water shortage and arid areas account for about 56% of the total land area. Diseases and insect pests occur from time to time. " Jiang Shiqiang said. In order to monitor in time and study countermeasures, a series of special scientific instruments for agriculture are needed, such as effective photosynthesis radiometer, infrared telemetry leaf / vegetation / ground surface thermometer, agricultural small weather station, agricultural remote sensing and telemetry, surface crop ecology and disease and pest disaster multi-spectral camera and image analysis system. In the future, there will be on-site detection, analysis, decision-making and control systems for agriculture, animal husbandry and aquaculture.
The concept of "Internet +" has emerged as a new force, and the Internet is being combined with various industries to enter a new era. Modern agriculture is also bound to be agriculture plus the Internet, that is, the Internet will run through the agricultural ring, production inputs, production process, post-natal monitoring and communication and interaction.
At the same time, scientific instruments are also indispensable in cultivating new varieties of agriculture, animal husbandry, fishery and forestry with high quality, high efficiency, high yield and high resistance.
Jiang Shiqiang said: improved varieties are the core of agricultural development, whether it is traditional hybridization, polyploid or haploid breeding based on genetics, mutation breeding, or modern biotechnology breeding based on gene introduction and transgenic technology. first of all, a series of instruments should be used to analyze and screen the quality of germplasm resources.
"Agricultural biotechnology is not only a new technology, but also a new industry, which has broad prospects for development. at present, the research and development trend of global agricultural transgenic technology is very strong. Developed countries try their best to seize the commanding heights of technology, and we should have a place to seize the commanding heights, make full use of biotechnology, develop and utilize China's rich excellent genetic resources of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishing, and cultivate improved varieties in a rapid and directional manner. It will be the technical support of high quality, high efficiency, high yield and high resistance for the sustainable development of agriculture in our country. " Jiang Shiqiang said.

The Challenge of Hollow in Rural areas and its solution
With the rapid progress of industrialization and urbanization, a large number of rural population has transferred to cities and towns, especially to big cities, resulting in increasingly serious rural hollowing out. And gradually evolved from population hollowing out to the integration of population, land, technology, industry, services, culture and public facilities.

Professional farmers blur "who cultivates the land" rural production relations are slightly born.
With the emergence of professional farmers, the concept of who is the farmer is blurred. Some villagers do not farm land, through the transfer of land management rights to get a fixed rent, but also can be employed by professional farmers to obtain certain labor income. Professional farmers earn by renting land and farming.
