Succulent appearance chubby cute, absorb a lot of breeding it, and in the maintenance process of succulent plants, often have a lot of friends found that their cultured succulent leaves or parts become transparent and yellowing, pinch the epidermis with your hands and feel like a bag of water. In fact, this is succulent water, so what is the cause of so much succulent water? How to prevent it? Let's get to know it.

1. Watering frequently at high temperature

Succulent plants originally lived in areas with a harsh environment, either in deserts, Gobi, or rock crevices. Succulent plants in such an environment also developed a function of self-protection, and it was this skill that led us to be prone to hydration when we were conserving it. We all know that plants have their own respiration and transpiration, in the right environment, plants will carry out normal transpiration through stem and leaf stomata, succulent plants are also the same. But if it is in a high temperature climate, the transpiration caused by high temperature will bring a lot of water to the plant, and succulent plants will close the stem and leaf pores in this case, thus locking up the water from losing, but if it is watered frequently, it will cause the roots to absorb water constantly and break the cell wall, which is called water conversion.

Solution: first of all, it is necessary to control the watering of succulent plants in the high temperature season, at the same time to maintain the good permeability of the root system, and then to remove the water leaves immediately, and then observe the follow-up situation.

2. Fungal infection

The second reason for succulent water is to be infected with fungi. after infection with fungi, succulent plants will isolate the infected parts of fungi in order to resist the damage caused by fungi. in other words, this part of the infected fungus no longer has any respiration, photosynthesis and transpiration, and the original cell wall will also break down, resulting in the phenomenon of hydration.

Solution: in the case of succulent infection with fungi, the succulent should be removed in time, all the parts of the water should be cut off, and the intact part of the wound should be re-poted with the new soil after drying, and the old soil should not be used any more.

3. Frostbite to dissolve water

The last situation is frostbite and dewatering, which usually occurs in the extremely cold winter, when the ice in the succulent body will directly pierce the cell wall, and when the temperature warms up, the frostbitten part will droop.

Solution: the most fundamental way to solve frostbite is to prevent cold. If frostbite leaves should be removed in time, the stem should be beheaded, keep the intact part, slowly move to a warm place to let succulent plants recover, gradually adapt or re-cut into the basin.
