How to pull up the flower stalk

Last Updated: 2024/11/22, As the saying goes: until it is difficult to raise, you will know the orchid. However, in the four seasons of the year, it is particularly difficult to raise orchids in summer, and it is difficult to prevent the "rot" in the hot summer. Experienced Lanyou all know that in the hot and humid summer, the frequent occurrence of soft rot and stem rot is a major heart disease of Lanyou! If Belas is the cancer of orchids.

First of all, I think the greatest influence on the flower stalk is temperature, followed by humidity. The bud is the most sensitive to temperature.

If you want to improve the flower stalk, the temperature should not be too high, not more than 20 degrees, preferably at a high temperature of about 15 degrees and a low temperature between 5 and 10 degrees, so that the bud opens more slowly and is easier to pull up; once the temperature is too high, the bud will open in order to catch up with spring. Many orchid friends have short flowers on the balcony. I think it is because when the balcony is closed, as soon as the sun comes out, sometimes the temperature is too high and the stimulation to the bud is too big. (the balcony where I used to raise orchids had a temperature of more than 20 degrees when it was sunny in winter and the windowsill was closed.)

I urged a pot of Songmei before the Spring Festival. After the vernalization of the bud, I put it on the balcony before moving. The balcony temperature is between 15-20 degrees during the day and 10 degrees at night, and the humidity is not high (because there is a sliding door between the balcony and the room, and there is heating inside). According to the experiment, the flower stalk can still be used later, because some time ago, the temperature was quite high, and the temperature of the orchid room rose quickly (there was light in the orchid room from 10 am to 3 pm). When the temperature exceeded 20 degrees, I ventilated several pots in the window of the Kailan room. The following pictures are all taken on the second day and can be pulled up again. Generally speaking, the flower stalk is not short: 2. The second is the humidity problem, which is naturally conducive to pulling stalks. But not as big as the impact of temperature, I in the balcony and the greenhouse inside two different humidity environment, the stalk blooming is about the same height, mainly due to temperature control, can not rise too fast, let the bud bloom slowly. In addition, I think that when pulling stalks, watering once is more beneficial to pulling stalks.

3. The problem of lighting. I don't think shading or shining in the sun has a direct stimulation on culm pulling. The stimulation of the bud is still a problem of temperature. The so-called place under the orchid shelf where the sun is not shining is because the temperature under the shelf is low.
