In the process of growing orchids, there is no greater blow to orchids than stem rot, especially in the hot weather of June, July, August and September. When you find that the leaves of orchids turn black, yellow or wrinkled, everything will die. Even if Hua Tuo is alive, he will not be able to recover from heaven, and he will still be wiped out and die forever. If the potential stocks die from the mountain to grow grass, only a long period of endless sadness and loneliness will be left to the people of the orchid. I have been raising orchids for more than 10 years. Recently, I have encountered such unlucky things again and again. It was a clump of lotus petal round-headed mountain grass just bought from Shidian Qi Mulin on July 10 this year, and it was also the head of the downhill grass with more potential stocks in my orchid. When I was planted at noon on September 21, I found a black spot on the tip of a leaf. Then I opened it and found that it was terminal stem rot, and the neck to the false bulb had all blackened. At that moment, I was like a thunderbolt. I was really angry and sad. I had been in this mood for about a week, and the shadow often ached in my heart in the days that followed, so that I had to think calmly and summarize the four major causes of orchid stem rot, so as to discuss the planting technology of orchids with the vast number of orchid friends and jointly promote the national orchid culture. The four major causes of stem rot are as follows: first, when the temperature is too high to enter the high temperature weather of June, July, August and September, the temperature during the day is often maintained at 25 ℃, which far exceeds the safe temperature of humidity management for planting orchids, providing temperature conditions for the rapid growth of disease bacteria, the fastest can cause directly diseased plants to rot in about 30 minutes, and the rest can all be infected within two days, which is irreparable when you find it. Second, plant fertilizer burning in the use of leaves, bark, Thoreau root and other humus to grow cooked grass and downhill grass, it must be fully fermented before use, avoid excessive fertility such as sheep shit, chemical fertilizer and other plant materials, especially the planting of downhill grass, do not pay attention to the first two points, under the condition of high temperature, it is most likely to lead to total annihilation. Forget that only the nutrients of the humus in front are sufficient to maintain the nutrients needed for two years. Third, the main cause of stem rot caused by high humidity is water. In high temperature weather, excessive humidity of plant material, excessive humidity of environment, excessive dryness and humidity, and improper watering time lead to stagnant water in core leaves and pseudobulbs, which are easy to cause water rot of orchid leaves and roots and stem rot. Fourth, poor ventilation and strengthening ventilation is an effective measure to deal with excessive temperature and moisture. After watering, it can quickly cool down and evaporate away the excess moisture. In high temperature weather, the problem can be solved by ventilation for 3 days. If the natural ventilation is poor, the fan can be set up to remedy. Stem rot generally occurs in humid, muggy and hot weather conditions. When watering, the low temperature period should be selected, and the cooling and ventilation measures should be taken in time until the plant material is safe. Pay attention to the solution of the above problems, we can effectively avoid the occurrence of stem rot, orchid cultivation is also handy.
