Dahlia is a colorful, blooming flower plant, and the flowers are also huge, which can bloom twice a year, so those who are familiar with this flower are more like it. However, dahlias are not cold-resistant. After entering winter, the above-ground parts will die, and the underground bulbs will gradually dormancy.

Dahlia in dormancy is very slow growth, after all, its metabolic process is also very slow, basically in a state of stagnation growth, which is mainly affected by low temperature. However, if we can provide a suitable growth environment for it in winter, especially if the temperature and humidity are guaranteed, then its bulbs may germinate ahead of time.

Since dahlias are flowering plants with poor cold tolerance, winter sprouts are naturally not resistant to freezing. The bud also occurs under the condition that the temperature and humidity conditions are guaranteed, so if you want the bud not to freeze to death, you generally need to provide normal temperature protection. If it is grown in winter, we can place it in a greenhouse, which will speed up its metabolism and thus allow it to sprout and bloom earlier.

But if we just keep it indoors in winter, the plant will not be frostbitten at most, but it is difficult to get it to sprout smoothly. Even if the temperature is suitable for a period of time and fortunately sprouted, it is necessary to plant it in the greenhouse in time, otherwise it will also freeze the buds. Dahlia bulbs kept indoors, in the absence of freezing, generally wait until the next spring when the temperature warms up will germinate.

The germination temperature of dahlia is usually between 19°C and 21°C, and even in the relatively warm southern regions of China in winter, it is often impossible to reach this germination temperature. Winter in southern China generally remains between 0°C and 10°C, while in northern China, winter is basically much lower than 0°C. Therefore, whether in the southern or northern regions of our country, basically winter is unable to let natural budding, can not be frozen bad.

Therefore, even if we provide the necessary temperature conditions for dahlias to germinate in winter, so that they can eventually germinate in advance, as long as they lose the warm constant temperature guarantee, their buds will be frozen and unable to survive. Unless he was kept in a greenhouse all winter, he would definitely die.
