Routine land inspectors cover nearly 80% of the cities and counties in the country.

The reporter recently learned from the Office of the State Chief Land Inspector that from 2008 to 2014, the State Land Supervision Agency has carried out routine land supervision in 2275 counties (cities and districts), covering 79.7% of the counties (cities and districts) in the country. Through routine supervision, we urge local governments to replenish 334400 mu of arable land, allocate 1.1119 million mu of basic farmland, investigate and deal with 57800 cases of land violations, and supervise the implementation of 4.527 billion yuan in social security funds for land-expropriated farmers.

This year is the eighth year of routine land inspection, and the State General Land Inspector's Office has summarized the development of the inspection business in the past seven years. The summary shows that land inspectors have carried out routine inspections in 30 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), five cities separately listed on the State plan, and the Xinjiang production and Construction Corps, involving a total of 264 cities and 2 divisions of the Corps, accounting for 78.9% of the country's prefectural-level administrative divisions. Among them, Jilin, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Guizhou, Shaanxi, Ningxia six provinces (autonomous regions, cities) basically achieve routine supervision coverage, Dalian Pulandian City and other 40 cities have carried out two rounds of routine supervision.

Over the past seven years, the state land supervision institutions have altogether urged local governments to replenish 334400 mu of arable land, redeem 1.1119 million mu of basic farmland and restore 264900 mu of land; promote local governments to file and investigate 57800 cases of land violations, demolish 26.7991 million square meters of illegal buildings, give 15,800 people party and government disciplinary sanctions, and transfer them to judicial organs to investigate 1845 people responsible. We will supervise and urge the recovery of 106.497 billion yuan in land transfer fees, 10.145 billion yuan in compensation for land expropriation, and 4.527 billion yuan in social security funds. Supervise and urge localities to revoke 4593 illegal administrative licenses of land-related departments and formulate 3420 new normative documents.
