Bulb planting method of leek orchid

1. Planting time

Leek bulbs can be planted all year round, but it is recommended to choose the seasons with moderate climatic conditions, suitable temperature and moderate precipitation, and it is best to avoid overcast and rainy weather when planting, so as not to cause seed ball rot. Ensure that the bulb can grow well and improve the survival rate of planting.

2. Seed ball treatment

The bulb planting of Chinese chive is generally cultivated in the way of ramet. Bulbs should be kept healthy and intact without damage or pests, and those with too many leaves and flower stems should be trimmed off. With flower bud spots on the bulb, it will blossom more easily.

3. Water application

After successful planting of bulbs, appropriate amount of water should be watered to keep the basin soil moist, so that the bulbs and soil can adapt to each other quickly. After growing and sprouting, increase the watering frequency appropriately, but there must be no stagnant water. Properly spray water mist to cool and moisturize.

4. Light and temperature conditions

The suitable temperature range for the growth of Chinese chive bulb is between 22 and 30 ℃. Too low temperature will lead to frostbite of leek orchid, so we must pay attention to temperature protection and control temperature not lower than 10 degrees in winter. Usually maintain proper light, avoid long-term dark environment or long-term strong light exposure.
